Not Updated For Current Season
I have been studying and trying many builds out with evelynn since the stun nerf. While having alot of trouble finding a good balance for it i have found many issues with her early game ---> late game structure.
magic resist/armor reduction
great single target burst damage
look sexy while rolling face
no area damage
No more CC :(
Build - Masteries
3 - 19 - 8
This build gives highest Mana based ability power ratio i have found.
3 points in Archmage's savvy can be moved to mediation in utility if a lil mana regen is needed.
All utility can be moved to Offense for Smite/ignite and magic pen, for the double golems variant. (this variant has a first level eve strike down double golems with smite ignite then move to their lane at second level.(without EXP boost wont quite be 2nd level but still close.)) However exhuast/ignite will help win in single target face to face fighting if thats more your style.
The 19 defense give 4% extra AP which may not sound like much but with Rabadon's or 300 AP thats still 12 more for free and the survivablity gained from the other talents there is a little to much in my opinion to give up with how easy she is to kill.
Build - Items
Archangel's Staff- Mana, Mana regen, Ability Power
this item helps spam Hate Spike. This will help earn money through farming minions.
Lich Bane - Mana, Ability Power, Magic Resist, Unique Proc
this gives the follow up strike to Ravage a large damage boost
The last 3 can be gotten in any order and with variants depending on how your doing.
Rabadon's Deathcap - Ability Power, Unique Ability power passive
If enemy is build survivablity this item help get that ravage/LB initiation to go from good to LEET
Rylai's Crystal Scepter - Ability Power, Health, Unique ability slow
This helps survive as well as keep the enemies from escaping
Will of the Ancients - Ability Power, Unique Aura - Ability power and Spell vamp
This will help not only you but other casters do more and survive longer.
Couple Variants may be:
Void Staff - spell penetration and ability power
Rod of Ages - Health, Mana, ability power
In early game I choose to go lane with someone who can solo lane if needed. With the mana potions and Meki Pendant i can usually farm minions pretty good. After getting to 1000 gold i go back and finish Tear of the Goddess and grab boots. Next goal is for spam Q as much as possible to build mana stacks on the TotG. After reaching 6th level I begin to lane hop trying to get a couple kills.
While ganking anywhere that there isn't invis sight either through oracles or wards I try to earn money as fast as possible whether its killing, kill stealing(i know frowned upon), or farming minions.
Once AA and Lich Bane are complete you should be able to pretty much 2 shot squishies and if they don't instantly die a few auto attacks and Q should handle it. The basic idea in team fights is wait for enemy to properly engage your team while sitting safely stealth to the side. Once they have engaged pick the lowest Hped target in fight and wail on them until they die. This will heal u a lil and activate your ulti.(which u should be clicking everytime it wears off in team fights). Once that target has been killed either restealth to look for new target or grab closest low hp enemy and finish him.
1 - mid game while earning money its important to understand allies need money too so KSing everything is just depriving them.
2 - Ravage + lichbane will give 2 high damage attacks almost instantly from stealth. Lead with ravage and let first auto be lich hit. Ravage lowers armor so even without armor pen you'll hit pretty good.
3 - Hate spike is your Q and your duration based damage, so don't be scared to spam it.
4 - Last but not least in early game u will fail to get good kills without a good teamate laning with you. Do not use stealth and ganking until 6th level or their team will ward early and ruin your mid game
Oracles and Vision Wards
If a team begins to abuse these items then you will begin to lose momentum. The best tactic is to either Oracle up to hunt wards or play defense and make them come to you and your team to stop u. Wards can only protect them while ur in them, get them to come out or work with team and bushes to stop stealth from being your crutch.
STEALTH IS NOT A CRUTCH! you have movement speed to engage quickly even if stealth is failing you. Dont be afraid to ghost + ulti just to beat down that Oracled support
In closing this is a guide to try to relieve a lot of the new found nerf hate toward Evelynn. I'm looking for people to believe she is Leet even without stun. Lets be honest that was a bad nerf and we all hate it. But with or without the stun she is still one of the best burst stealth assassins in the game.
So before everyone starts hating on this build please atleast give it a try and see if she is as useless as everyone says.
Remember this isn't a build saying she is better then other champions but a build to say she can still do something for the league.
(this build aims for 5v5 i have not tested it 3v3 yet, if someone would like to and give me some information on how it went I would love to see it.)
Gimme some replies on how you did so i can post and add to the Eve love/hate.
