In this guide I will be explaining my way of dominating with Talon. My build consists of high attack damage, armor penetration, and movement speed with some survivability. Which allows any Talon player to move quiqly around fights to kill any champion and leave before anyone knew he was there.
The Way To Play Talon
You want to build Talon with really high attck damage and armor penetartion to shut down all champs that stand in your path. Talon shines against AP and AD carries. You want to focus them right away with your cutthroat, hit them with your Noxian Diplomacy, Slow them with your Rake and kill them with your ultimate Shadow Assault and run away. Repeat this cycle as him, you dont want to be in the middle of a team fight if you stay you will die in an instant. Talon has moderate cooldowns, make sure that you have all your abilities up before you jump in to kill someone. By Talon having a silence and a slow he shines in chasing down champions. His Passive mercy helps him kill champions that are stunned, silenced, slowed and imobilized by giving him an extra 10% more damage.
Pros / Cons
- Has a slow Rake and a silence cutthroat which makes him exelent at chasing down enemies
- Can easily escape with his ultimate Shadow Assault
- Great against AP Carries Veigar and AD Carries Ashe
- Extremely fast with this build
- Moderate cooldowns
- Can go invisible
- Can easily be killed if you stay in the middle of a team fight
- Has high mana costs
- If shut down in the beggining you are useless to your team
- Does poorly against Champions with high amounts of CC Alistar
Talon as a solo top and as a viable mid champion needs his Rake to do damage from far. By leveling up his Rake first you have better damage out put and a slow that can overwhelm an enemie champion from the start of the game. His Noxian Diplomacy should be the second ability to max due to its high damage. You also want to use this ability to destroy towers if you have enough mana to also flee if your enemies come to attack you. His cutthroat should be maxed last due not having a silence increase and having the longest cooldown even at level 5. You always want to get your ultimate Shadow Assault whenever its up due to its high amount of damage increase.
Talons masteries are ment to focus on attack damage with some survivability. By building attack damage and armor penetration tanlon will thrive both early and late game. Summoner's Wrath is used to increase your attack damage after you use Ignite. The defense tree is also focused since this guide focuses on some survivability you will have extar health, armor and magic resist to withstand some attacks. The utility tree is not focused because if you use talon you do not want to be wasting your mana and you do not need to get extra movement speed due to the Boots of Swiftness that you will buy.
