Karthus Build Guide by SWAGRID

this acutally speaks for how good this build is. as you can see u are having super expensive items and still manage to get your build all the time. Its a pitty u have thousands of gold left sometimes but uc annot change it. You do not want to stack rabadons or stuff like this as you will be nuked down in 1 attack. you want the 44% spell vamp so you survive the late game team fights. and the longer you will stay in fight the more damage you will do. and the more damage you will do the longer you can stay in fight, etc. As soon as you have all equip and enough gold left to buy all elixirs, you dont farm anymore. you want all the rest creeps be killed by your team mates. this ensures they can have better items. so essentially you should NEVER have dead money. just get elixirs and maybe oracle and get as much farm to be able to rebuy them after 3 min. all above that should go to your team mates.

lol get nashor's tooth for the cdr, that's ******ed. dfg is cheaper and provides more ap, while having an awesome active, get it earlier, then just build boots of lucidity if you value cdr that much. Void staff provides more mpen by late game anyways. It's cheaper and provides better stats.
If you dislike dfg, build morello's evil tome. Provides more ap, nearly same cdr, it's cheaper and it has an active that reduces healing. Just sell it lategame like you would sell your nashor's.
(morellos+lucidities+masteries=39% cdr)

Also, a gunblade on karthus, wtf?
Karthus does not need any more sustain than a wota, because in teamfights he is strong because of his passive. Your spell vamp is pointless if you are playing a kamikaze character like karthus.
You don't have any defenses to make use of the sustain anyways, and 0 mobility. If people get to you you die, spellvamp won't help.


Seriously guides like these ruin mobafire's reputation. -1 and please, learn to build.

you are wrong in so many ways I dont know even where to start.

1. "get nashor's tooth for the cdr" - uhm no? I get it for the highest cdr + AP? it still provides 65 AP which is only 15 less than for example Rylais, Lich bane or other hightier items. so do not reduce it to cdr only.

2. your boots of lucidities are so fail its beyond words. because of that missing 20 mpen u r losing way too much dmg. this is ANOTHER reason why nashors is so good here, because it provides MAX CDR with 1 slot! and in the end you still get Deathfire grasp so until then u r good to go. The funnier it gets if you realise that you suggest TWO items for CDR which I do with ONE item slot, and having at the end the same result, besides you lose the damage by not using sorcerer's shoes. Beyond words. But yea, go ahead and use boots of lucidties. I am sure, a pro like you is always first pick at your elo 900.

3. as not only the post above you proves already, besides i said so too in my guide: you always get full exeuip. So gunblades only downside is the money, BUT YOU WILL HAVE THAT MONEY, this means it is another big tier tiem with 70AP + max spell vamp. Why would a Karthus not want 2x WOTA essentially? + one active who can cc and spellvamp too for 300 dmg.

So you reject sustain because he has his pasive. seriously are u dumb? With a second wota u WILL LIVE MUCH LONGER and STILL HAVE YOUR passive. Seriously....why am I even bother answering people like you. You essentially said you do not need sustain ebcause when u die u can have 7 seconds for spammign spells.
My guide says: you will live 1000 times longer, and still have 7 seconds after your death. Why on earth would anyone want to die EARLIER? this shows everyone how dumb u r. And whats most important is:

So I need to ask why this guide isn't #1 and why it is only at 80%. It should honestly have a rateing of like 94%. I love it how people will use our guides, dominate with them, and then be like OH THAT WASZ COOL and won't upvote or anything. I give more about opinions like this, then dumb and plain wrong random nonsense as you just wrote here. Its because of haters and losers like you why this guide had only around 80%, though the majority of even extremly good and high players consider this as a top Karthus build.

Hey, one thing that someone pointed out to me, that I didn't know is that the spell vamp only hits for 100% of the advertised rate if it isn't an AoE spell/skill. That means that your E is only taking 33% spellvamp and your Q is doing the same unless you only hit one enemy. Idk if this helps but thought you'd like the info.

The item build, the ability sequence... this guide gave me cancer. Karthus is built as an AP whole team nuker who is supposed to be dealing tons of damage. He is not meant to be played as a sustain type of hero like Vladimir. I'm sorry but that Nashor's Tooth and Hextech Gunblade are absolutely ridiculous. No Archangel's Staff? I don't know what ELO you play at man but this is actually bad.

I'm usually not that harsh and I know you may go out and downvote me somewhere but I seriously can't believe this is the top guide for Karthus. I even recall seeing a post on LoL Forums linking to this guide saying "This is why Mobafire is bad".
