Honestly i wanna slap you for putting MJS on anything except LB and not adding frozen heart (ad will have to try much harder to even think of killing you), DFG (anti tank and boost from q) and Will of the Ancients (yes it is kinda overkill but helps a ton vs medicore burst teams) on possible items and not mentioning that darling Beatrice will still damage a enemy after your death (always use it when both you and the enemy are low). But the guide still has pretty nice points and the efficient health math so +1.

I dont agree with this build... I think soulstealer is pointless. Will of the ancients is brilliant for Swain. Gives him a nice chunk of AP and also the spell vamp makes you almost unkillable while ulting in a team fight.

The other thing to consider is instead of Zhonya's you could take either banshees for the above reasons or frozen heart works well for some nice CDR (how often is the soulstealer gonna be maxed? let's be honest), and that mana helps with a small chunk of AP (thanks to Archangels) and good against an AD heavy team. Again makes you VERY hard to kill while retaining a lot of damage. Things to consider.

Let's be honest here.. like I said in the guide if you read it, replace the damn mejai's if you are having trouble surviving. I don't use that same build every game I play. League of Legends is a flexible game that needs to be treated as so per game. And Mejai's isn't just useful when its maxed. Even after 5 stacks its still worth what a blasting wand would be. And I don't disagree with your defense choices but like I said in my guide, my item build is strictly dps heavy for a mage. Just some things to consider... you dont have to follow the item build... follow the guidelines.

the guide was very informative and helped me a great deal when i first started playing swain. while this just be my style of play i find getting a roa and a rlyai's to be very effective giving you health and ap for more survive ability making swain even harder to kill with his ultimate and then building a rabadons for more ap and continuing into a deathfire for cd reduction, ap, and mana regen then throwing in a will of the ancients. with this itemization i find this to make me very hard to kill as swain while still tearing through everyone

thats great man, I honestly don't care about the items. Swain just needs to be played a different way then any other mage which is what I am trying to get at. But items are just personal preference :)
