Introduction

SO I play gangplank ALOT, and when I say alot, I mean ALOT. So I have a good amount of experience with this character, and I know how he works.
So usualy I go the standard crit damage gangplank and pew pew the late game, and win.
But I wanted too try out a build that would not only enable a better early game, but hopefully
still be able too carry just as well.

My build focuses on doing good damage, while still having survivability, and a strong early game.
If you are interested in these traits, READ ON!

Pros / Cons

Pros:
-Tanky
-Good Early Game
-Self Healing
-Ability too carry
-Able too save teammates with loads of slow.
-Good chaser/ganked
-Good movespeed/stats

Cons:
-Uses Items with Active effets
-Not as much damage as traditional build. (but definately still enough!)
-Not too easy too play, requires a little skill. (Just my opinion, feel free too criticize.)
(Probobly more, just none come too mind immediately..)

Runes

Marks: Greater Mark of Desolation
Why? Armour pen is good all game, especialy for your parley.

Seals: Greater Seal of Vitality
Why? Just a little bit more hp too make yourself an even bigger threat!

Glyphs: Greater Glyph of Clerity
Why? Cool down is really helpfull on gangplank, and you should always expect someone on your team too need golem more than you, like a Karthus or Amumu.

Quintessences: Greater Quintessence of Furor
Why? While this may not be a traditional crit build, lategame most of your damage still comes from critical strikes, and while you can takes these or critical chance quints, I like the crit damage more on gangplank.

Masteries

I went a traditional Melee dps carry, and chose 21/0/9 as my masteries, for more armour pen/damage, and bonus experience!

Now just about any masteries setup will work with this build, depending on your play style, choose one of the following:

More of a dps carry: 21/0/9
More of a ganking/support: 0/9/21
Need a little more tank: 0/21/9

I recommend taking strength of spirit instead of evasion when using defensive tree, but it's entirely up too the user!

Items

I start with a Doran shield and go too my lane, just so I can take a couple hit's from ranged champions when I go in for a last hit on a creep, I usualy save my parley for lane harrasment, but the extra gold from last hitting with it is awesome!

I then stay in lane untill I have ATLEAST 1000 gold, and go back for my boots of mobility (note: I only go back too base if im below 1/2 hp and out of mana, I don't ever recommend going back too base for just an item unless you're getting something that snowballs/stacks (blood thirster/Warmogs/Mejai's/Leviathan etc etc))

I then go back too base again with 1200-2000 gold, and get Pickaxe, or hopefully BilgeWater
Cutlass.

Now Frozen Mallet is expensive, costing 3250 gold, I normally get giants belt first, unless I can afford the Phage.

I then continue with some more "royalty items" (Item's that you don't normally get in every game, but are still part of your item build and are just kinda pricey, and alot of the time the game is already over) Like Randuin's Omen, Infinity edge, Phantom Dancer, and also turning Bilgewater into Gunblade (you can do this whenever you feel you don't have enough lifegain through Remove Scurvy and BilgeWater Cutlass.)

Skill Sequence

While I don't really have a true skill setup for this build, I recommend maxing Parley first, then maxing Raise Moral, but still having just enough levels in your Remove Scurvy too keep yourself about 70% hp.
And of course, take your ultimate whenever available.

Summary

I hope everyone Likes this build! CONSTRUCTIVE criticizm is always welcome.
