First impression after a couple games is that she seems uber hard to master. Could be fun, has potential though

I fail to see how the above comment is anything other than annoying. The build is fine - it's nothing more than a guide to use. Making whatever changes that are necessary are always important, and any good player should know that. So down-voting because of item build seems stupid, unless the guide builder is way off - and this one isn't. I feel the build is pretty close to what I would use, minus arch-angel's staff. I say that only because in many games it is just too expensive, and building the chalice usually keeps my mana full, but at least keeps it high enough to still spam. Therefore, usually the Staff doesn't really seem worth the price. Over-all I found the guide useful and insightful, though sentence structure was a little confusing at times. Considering that the champion Syndra just came into being, I find this build pretty awesome - especially it's depth. Sure, it could improve, but I doubt Trixi is done with it. Good on you Trixi, for making a thorough guide on a champion just released.

good guide. I just finished a game where i built up my gear pretty much like you have. End game i didnt buy any mana regen gear though but still easily spammed spheres to throw and stun in team fights. The build up to rod of ages was really long though, i was wondering if there is a shorter path to getting AP early game with the same benefits. i think i finally bought it at lvl 11 as my first core item. Getting kills to speed up your gold income is tough without any items that give you AP. on the other hand at 20:00 had 0 deaths because of the rod of ages' passive health and mana on lvl up :-)

oh yeah please change your skills build so that you max out Q faster. the bonus dmg to champions helps a lot.

Good guide, but i think that one of the skills(i prefer Q) should be maxed at lv9 to take advantage from the passive bonus. :)

I personally dont really like this build.
The skill sequence:
The main problem with this is you dont max any skill until level 16. this way you ignore her passive Transcendent, thus losing some damage and utility.

masteries:
I wonder why you take the Sunder , as you wont be dealing to much AD damage.
You also take the Havoc mastery, which generally doesnt add much damage (if you deal 1000 damage, max level Havoc add a grand total of 15 damage). Your probably better off picking Brute Force here, as it will help with last hitting and harassing your opponent early game.
I would also recommend picking up the Summoner's Wrath mastery, since you pick ignite.
as you pick heal you probably want to pick up summoners's resolve to.
My personal preference with mana hungry champions (like Syndra and Anivia) is to pick 21/0/9 masteries. This allows you to pick up all ap related masteries in the offensive tree, and still get some mana, ms and buff duration in the utility tree

Build:
In your guild you recommend taking a Doran's Ring as first item over boots. in my opinion going boots 3pot works better, as it allows you to stay in lane much longer(if you dont spam your abilitys thus run out of mana). This will make dodging skillshots (which are rather common in mid) a lot easier.
the first thing you build after your Rod of Ages is a Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Im not sure if i really like that part, as she has a build in slow and stun. If build the Rabadon's Deathcap straight after it you will probably deal a lot more damage. Another item to consider is Deathfire Grasp as it will give you a lot of burst power, with a good chance of killing someone in a single combo.

Also if your planning to build Archangel's Staff, You should really buy the Tear of the Goddess early, so you can stack up its passive (getting 4 mana for ever spell you cast, up to a cap of 1000)

Summoners:
The main thing i have to say about summoners is that i dont really like the heal. Ok it helps you out when your in a pinch, but like you said, Syndra doesnt really have any escape abilitys. If you bring Flash or Ghost (i prefere Flash) you can get out of a lot of trouble. It will safe your live in ganks. Beside that it can also be used offensively for picking up kills ect.
