Threats to Tahm Kench with this build
|Teemo||You can stomp on Teemo. He is nothing but the blood stain on your foot to you after level 3. Be wary of ganks.|
|Sion||You can stay out of his range and poke him a lot and it really hurts.|
This is my first guide but ever since he was released into the pBE I love Tahm Kench. He is possibly one of the tankiest champions in League of Legends and has massive amounts of sustain and a great damage output for never building any damage items.
Oh yeah. NEVER.BUILD.A.DAMAGE.ITEM.
It takes away a slot from something that can make you even tankier.
The most unique thing about Tahm Kench is that his damage with basic attacks scale with his maximum health. Use this to your advantage and always go full tank.
Maximize your Q for the highest amount of poke possible in lane.
If you are somehow being bullied out of lane then put more points into your shield earlier to increase your regeneration from your gray health.
I tend to max devour second to maximize the amount of time you can devour a teammate/enemy, increase movement speed gained from devour, and reduce the cool down as a high cool down on this can really hurt you in fights.
Farming with Tahm Kench is really easy due to
1. His tankiness and sustain allow you to take a lot of poke for your farm if you have to
2. His Q and W are amazing for farming.
Use devour on a low health minion and fire it back out into the wave this does a good amount of damage and is really useful for farming, harassing, or just some wave clear.
The masteries im using are the masteries I use on Vi. I've found that the masteries for most tanky champions will transition well with Tahm.
Just like his masteries, any runes you use on tanky champions will work with Tahm Kench sohttp://www.mobafire.com/images/gb-shrink-chapter.png im not going to put in much on this section.
Pros / Cons
Good damage output
Ult is basically a two man teleport
Easy to gank because of low amounts of mobility. Use your wards and dont overextend.
Can be a little slow
Can be kited easily in my opinion by most ADC's and Singed as well as a few APC's.
Tahm Kench is even better if you have a lot of synergy.
Some of the instances where his ult is great in team fights are:
You can take a teammate with you almost anywhere on the map if you use your ult. This can be used for something like ulting in during/right before a gank (from or against your enemy)
Ulting in with your jungler to the baron pit for a potential steal (
Using Devour wisely:
Devour should be utilized in three main ways.
1. Swallow someone who deals a lot of damage on their team (the carries). This is the hardest to due since getting to the backline can be hard. However, if you want to neutralize the low health ADC or APC before they can regen/lifesteal their health then go for it.
2. Swallow someone on your team who is TANKY and can ENGAGE a teamfight well.
3. Swallow a teammate who is on low health and book it. Spit them out in the opposite direction of the enemy team and hope you're tanky enough to make it out as well.
This is my first guide on Mobafire and I hope it helps you get a better grasp on the new champion :D
