General Jungle Guide /Introduction

Terms you might see while reading my guide:

AS: Attack Speed
AD: Attack Damage
AP: Ability Power
MS: Movement Speed
MR: Magic Resist
AR: Armor (Easy one)
aa: Auto Attack
SS: Skillshot
TF: Teamfight
TP: Teleport
CJ: Counter Jungle

This guide is for jungling. First of all you have 2 choice to begin with. Blue side or Red Side. Each side has several benefits so I will try to explain as much as I can.

1- Blue Side Start: Route should be Gromp-> Blue Golems->Wolves->Gank mid/top -> If you have enough HP go get red (if your enemy has a jungler who can steal your red)

Benefits: It allows you to get Gromp buff which means faster jungle clearance for tanky junglers ( ie. Rammus,Zac) It allows you to get blue buff which means free ganks and more skill spam. Especially good for Evelyn, Amumu, Diana, Fiddlesticks since they need blue buff more than anything in jungle

Down Sides: Makes you lose HP more, you cant kill crab that easy (he is slippery and fast :) ) ganks will be weak without red buff, bad for sustain, makes you lose extra pot if you are not using a Lifesteal/shield champion

2- Red Side Start: I personally try to start from red side no matter what.
Route Golems(smite)->Birds (kill small ones first)->Crab (for sustain/cooldowns)->Red Buff (smite)->gank mid/bot lane

Benefits: With golem start you get stun buff for every 5 attacks which is great for AS junglers. After you get red buff ganks will be easier and easier to force your enemies to flash. Red Side Start allows you to punish early agressive enemy bot laners (almost none of them wards river in first 4 mins)

Down Sides: If you are mana based champion like Fiddlesticks you have to return base, If you have no aoe damage it takes slightly more time than clearing Blue side jungle.

How to be a Better Jungler:

As a jungler your most important job is being awere of map! Means you gotta keep track of enemy cooldowns (flash/ulti/TP) You gotta know when Dragon/Baron Spawns ( Easy with new patch you always see the cooldown but you gotta remind your teammates when Dragon or Baron will spawn cause they are busy with dealing farming/enemy harrass/ jungler ganks)

Always ping as soon as you decided to gank a lane. If you pinged a lane to gank dont try to abandon it unless you see a good opportunitiy.

Always buy pink ward and place it between top and mid. (yes that is yoru job!) So your top and mid laner might save themselves from 1-2 enemy jungler ganks which is good for you. Enemy jungler will lose time and buy sweeper (if you want to Counter Jungle) Always try to smite Birds for the vision buff and clear the wards around the map

Always choose a jungle path which gives you gank opportunities faster. For example: If you feel like enemy top laner will push ( Riven, Irelia, Vlad always pushes lanes :) ) then start with wolves go for gromp then take blue and you can good to gank top lane when it is pushed. But if you start gromp then go blue then you try to kill wolves you lose time to walk back to top lane.

Be efficient with you time. Do not waste time walking mid lane if your mid lane is pushed. Go farm mobs when all lanes are pushed. Also ganking top lane is always tricky after lvl 6 , DO not camp top unless you see neemy jungler close to their top lane, cause if you camp top enemy jungler can easily take drag.

Try to help lanes that has disadvantage in lane (Irelia vs Ryze/Vlad) ranged vs melee match ups are tough. So help your poor Irelia :) Dont forget that your team as strong as your weakest lane.

This Video is only for showing you the route, this is a bot game so I didnt bother with ganking any lane. I ll add full gameplay videos if you guys want it.

Runes

Tahm is good for baiting your enemies into fights that they cant win, To make this happen you have to build Tahm tanky. Attack speed and movement speed also helps a lot. Most powerful feature of Tahm (for SoloQueue) is his (W) skill ( Which allows you to swallow your enemies after 3 autoattacks/spell hits) If you swallow an enemy during a tf basicly it means you can throw him to your backline (where your apc/adc) should be and it means an easy kill for your team. In teamfights your role is to get 3 stacks on anybody (preferably their adc/apc/jungler) then swallow them and throw them back to your teammates with less than half hp. To make this happen you gotta rush into 3-4 enemies you gotta spell hit or auto attack 3 times. Which means you need to be TANKY :) So if you check th runes I am using you will see that I have 4-5 basic resist/armor stat runes then I picked Scaling runes. Cause your tankiness will be needed more in late gamee teamfights.

Masteries

I use this masteries but if you are willing to you can spend movement speed masteries to wherever you want. I believe Movement speed and attack speed are important for Tahm jungle. Also Attack Speed is good for clearing jungle fast with red buff. Most important role of Tahm is getting opportunity for 3 auto attacks/spell this so you can swallow an enemy and throw him back to your teammates. Be careful do not throw a fed Renek into your Carries!

Also you can use Tahm as a life saver. Most enemy team focus your apc and adc. so if you see 1-2 ulties cast on your apc/adc swallow them and carry them to safety.

Items

You can choose different jungle item but i prefer this one, Dmg output after Sated is insane also it gives you attack speed which you will need most, also you can slow your enemies. This jungle item is the definition of Tahm Kench :)

After your jungle item if your team ahead you can start building Triforce but if you are behind or if things seems rough go for Iceborn Gauntlet for sure. Aoe slow +your attack speed will help you a lot in teamfights.

If you are ahead build Blade of the Ruined king, Otherwise I recommend you to build more tanky items.

Skill Sequence

If you are an agressive jungler and If you like to gank in lvl 3-4 and if you are gonna build some ap to Tahm Kench you can skill your (q) or (e) skill. Otherwise I recommend you to level up your (w) first. If you are struggling with jungle and if you feel like losing a lot of HP then go for (e)

Ranked Play

In ranked games your main role is to pick up enemy apc/adc carry and throw em to your team so they can easily kill him/her. Your Secondary role is to save a teammated if you see enemy using 1-2 ulti on the poor guy/girl.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
-Good Sustain
-Tanky jungler in a tank meta
-Can save teammates
-Good mobility with his ulti (which is hard to organise in soloq)

Cons:

-low damage
-slow jungle clearance
-weak ganks if you cant land your q
-sometimes it is hard to land 3 aa/spellshots to your enemies and without your (w) you are pretty much useless in teamfights

Creeping / Jungling

Red side start is good for saving yoru extra pot and good for agressive junglers who like to gank in lvl 3-4 range. Allows you to punish agressive enemy bot laners which means 2 kills/ assists.

Red Side Start: I personally try to start from red side no matter what.
Route Golems(smite)->Birds (kill small ones first)->Crab (for sustain/cooldowns)->Red Buff (smite)->gank mid/bot lane

Team Work

Your job in team is simple. Either guard your adc and when somebody focus him/her swallow him and throw him to safety or go rush enemy line and try to swallow and enemy apc/adc/jungler

Ignore enemy tanks and supports (tanky) if you ahvent builded ap

If you builded Ap you can damage to tanky opponents with your %hp damage.

Guide Top

Unique Skills

Always try to eat crabs and throw them to walls. Sometimes they get bugged and can't move so you can kill them easily (most annoying creep in jungle will be standing still without dealing any damage to you, it is like Heaven on Summoners Rift)

You can also swallow Gromp from other side of the wall if you dont like the walk. Dont forget to stay in melee range otherwise he will start to run :)
