Why is my build the only GOOD Fiora build

Greetings! I am fobdogga and I believe that through my powers of common sense that I have found the Optimal damage output for this champion. I believe that using the powers of critical hits, turn Fiora into a melee ASSASSIN rather than a BRUISER. I mean, why try harder? I believe that Fiora deserves to live in solo top, and even though she lacks cc, deals enough burst damage to make up for the deficit.

Why doesn't the lovely Miss Fiora Jungle?

Fiora is a great jungler with amazingly fast clears. She does unfortunately have a couple of downsides through her jungle.

Here's a couple of reasons why you should NOT be playing jungle Fiora.
  • Lack of CC
  • Lack of Ignite (Which I find is important to your burst damage.)
  • She's very Mana reliant!
  • You NEED Blue Buff to jungle with her which is denying you from giving it to your AP Mid.

Pros / Cons

  • best taunt
  • MELT PEOPLE
  • ability to reach the attack speed cap without ****ing up your damage
  • natural 35 ad
  • little item dependent
  • THE ABILITY TO 1V1 A SION WITH 3 BLOODTHIRSTERS AND WIN BECAUSE YOU'RE OP

cons

  • no inbuilt escape
  • no cc
  • squishy as ****
  • melee champ
  • exhaust literally makes you useless
  • farm dependent! cannot stress this one enough really.

Items

You want to build straight damage with the one bloodthirster being your lifeline. A lot of people will probably go against it but you really shouldn't be getting any defense items until lategame (bar your sexy merc treads)

Some idiot decided to stack Tiamat on Fiora. This is highly situational and YOU SHOULD NOT BE USING YOUR ULT FOR THIS.

Without further ado, let's begin.

Starting Items


Cloth + 5 is a very strong starter. By leveling up your Riposte you don't really need to begin with a damage item anyways.


First Back









Boots
Movement speed. Nothing else to say here.

Vampiric Scepter
Sustain. Works great with your ult especially as this can give you a solid 30% of health simply after using your ult.

Avarice Blade
g5p10 are amazing. get your build items faster, do crit damage. Some people don't like getting g5p10 (?) so this is an optional item.

Core Build


You should be taking defensive boots. These boots together with your future Bloodthirster should be all the defense you need for midgame teamfights.

Boots (And why!)





I will generally take these boots 90% of every game, even if they have a fed ad carry. Why? Because cc is Fiora's weakness. You'd be silly not to take this really.


I'll only run these on teams with 4 hard ad carries. You should really think about your opponent's team composition and refuse to take this if they have any cc at all.

Damage Items


Great Damage item. I run this core together with Bloodthirster. This item is perfect and makes you hit SO MUCH HARDER.




This is what makes you so hard to 1v1 against. Also gives you capabilities to tank Baron Nashor and The Dragon




Movement Speed, Crit Chance and Attack Speed. Great Snowball item.




Tower killer brah, after topping your build off with a Phantom Dancer, this will give you Armor Penetration and a really good Attack Speed buff (which stacks with your E!)



Tanky/Sustained Damage


I think that these items are personally much less effective than my pure damage build above. I mean, why would you be tanky if you can simply just melt people? Whatever. Here are some alternatives to my optimised crit build.

Gives you crit damage, armor and damage per % of health.




Helps with chasing but why bother when you have your Lunge!




You've got all this attack speed but if you're not building damage you're literally just hitting really fast bursts of 0 damage. If you honestly think this is a good first item for Fiora you're not only wrong but you probably think that her ult is the most overpowered thing too.



Your Youmuu's Ghostblade gives you so much more of everything and even has a g5p10 build into it! If you like wasting your money on bad items go nuts.


Your Last Item



After you're done stacking damage you can finally decide if you'd like to build defensive!

You generally have a choice between 2 items, of which you can base on which you think is more important

Great item! Counters your weakness which is CC.






Gives you all-rounded defense and the passive makes them not want to focus you! What could be better.


Useless items


umad? Sorry for using common sense but if you think you're good because you stacked 5 of these ****ers and realised that any idiot with common sense wouldn't stand next to the guy you ulted then congratulations! you're ****ing useless for the next minute or so. ALSO IF SOMEBODY EXHAUSTS YOU MID-ULT ENJOY DOING 0 DAMAGE

Skills brah

Passive - Duelist
A good benefit that you shouldn't be focusing on
On paper, this does sound like a great passive, unfortunately it really isn't noticable. I don't really care what you say, it's not that big. It probably does help a ton with teamfights but it's not the most present ability. Keep to using lifesteal for your sustain.


Q - Lunge
Gap closer with minimalistic damage. Insanely long cooldown
Spacing the two dashes is key to mastering Fiora! Unless you're jungling and really want the extra burst, you should only be using this ability to grab opponents that are out of melee range.

This does have an insanely long cooldown! Expect to feel salty after you commit to a chase only to find you just used your Q a second ago. YOU ALSO CANNOT LUNGE TO WARDS, FRIENDLY MINIONS OR CHAMPIONS. YOU CAN ONLY ESCAPE TO ENEMY MINIONS.

Also, Never use this skill to chase down an enemy unless you're going in the direction that he wants to go! If you lunge to somebody and they flash in the opposite direction, Congratulations! You've successfully wasted Lunge and they've gotten away because you're terrible at ganking.

W - Riposte
Ability to block auto-attacks and on-hit abilities with a permanent AD buff.
This ability is easily Fiora's finest, with the ability to block most on-hit abilities (eg. Parrrley Two-Shiv Poison) Allows you to excel in 1v1's and make ranged ad carries fear you earlygame.

E - Burst of Speed
Amazing Lategame Attackspeed steroid
You really shouldn't be using this earlygame except for the movement speed bonus for chasing. This is your tower killer, which lets Fiora live up to her Master Yi 2.0 name.

R - Blade Waltz
Mini-Zhonya's that applies On-Hit effects
This ability is 50/50. It's all about having good positioning and having reliable teammates that can follow up after you using this in a teamfight situation.

If you're not in a teamfight, you can use this to save yourself in a gank, one that's landed me more kills than I can remember ;)

Summoner Spells (And why you're wrong)






These two spells are the only two worth getting, however, I will post possible alternatives

Is the only alternative to Ignite that I can sense works.
Anti-cc. Yay.




NO GANKS. NO MANA. NO KILLS.





lol why when you have Lunge





It's ok if you don't like getting kills and would rather get towers (but hey, towers win games so who am i to complain)




A lot of guides recommend this item. I say it's disgusting as you're unable to receive that much out of it. Heck, if you wanted an advantage in a 1v1 why wouldn't you pop your ult?

Game Mentality

Levels 1-3


Play passive as ****. Farming is literally the easiest thing due to your Riposte's Passive. Learning the timing to your Parry is key to playing Fiora's earlygame and hope to god you're not laning against a CC heavy AP carry. (Lux is the bane of my existance)

Levels 4-6


You can start agressing if you want. Once you reach lvl7 you really shouldn't have mana problems. Keep playing passive and try not to die.

Levels 7-11


As Fiora, you now have two choices
1- level your tower
2- push up and gank mid

whatever you want really, as long as you don't die you're helping your team out

levels 12-18


Teamfights just came around. Optimal entry to the battle is after all the cc's been blown. Then you Lunge straight for the AD carry (If he has a ridiculous sustain pop ignite on him) and try not to get exhausted. Exhaust is seriously worth popping QSS on as it really ***** on you.

I am a disgusting noob that loses ranked games due to disgusting irl duo queue mates.
