Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Welcome to my build of Talon, the Blade's Shadow. He's the newest champion of the League now, and I find him pretty good. I wanted to show you my build and how I play him. Of course you can change some items, to make it fit your playstyle.
Have fun reading my build/guide!
(And if there are some misstakes in English, I'm sorry but I'm not English and I did my best for it.)
Pros / Cons
- Ultimate very short cooldown
- Pretty sick damage with abilities and auto-attacks
- No need for Ability Power
- Pretty hard to kill
- Not the fastest champion of the League
- You can see his ultimate coming
- When he dances, he grabs his d***.
Talon deals 10% more damage to with his basic attacks to any target that is slowed, stunned, immobalized or suppressed.
Q: Noxian Diplomacy
Talon's next basic attack deals an additional physical damage. If the target is an enemy champion, they will bleed, taking additional physical damage over a period of time and revealing their location for the duration.
Talon sends out a volley of daggers that then return back to him, dealing physical damage every time it passes through an enemy. Additionally the enemy is slowed for a short duration.
Talon instantly appears behind his target, silencing them and amplyfying his damage against that target.
R: (ultimate) Shadow Assault
Talon disperses a ring of blades and stealths while gaining additional Movement Speed. When Talon emerges from stealth, the blades converge on his location. Everytime a blade passes through an enemy, they receive physical damage.
For Summoner Spells I prefer for Talon Exhaust and Ignite. Ignite for the finishing touch, and Exhaust to keep up while chasing the enemy. Believe me, man you are slow. Why I don't choose for Flash? Well, you have an ultimate that makes you go stealth for 2.5 seconds and give you bonus movementspeed. And with this build, it only has a cooldown from 34 seconds. So it wouldn't be a problem.
The combo is: Start with your ultimate Shadow Assault, press Q for Noxian Diplamacy, jump in with Cutthroat and as last but not least, do Rake. Besides Rake, your ultimate is your main damage. With this combo you do the most damage possible. Don't forget to activate your Yoummou's Ghostblade! I think the best way to start this combo, is out of the brush. They can't see your ultimate, so it's a big surprise that you're coming. Always try to use the Element of Surprise, because it will devestate your enemies!
Farming / Laning
Farming with Talon isn't that hard, just do Rake whenever possible, and try to hit the most minions possible. It's on a low manacost, something like 60 mana, so you can spam that a lot.
Try to lane with champions with crowd control abilities, like Anivia, Ashe, Ryze, Maokai or another heavy crowd control champions, to activate your passive Mercy. This will be very annoying to your laning enemies.
I think Talon is a very good champion, as long he's played well. He has nice assassination abilities, nice damage and he looks pretty cool to.
1 Final tip:
Try to use "The Element of Surprise" as much as possible.
