Get Rake first and max it out first. It's your main damage/clear ability. Rake is also his signature move.

Noxian Diplomacy
Cost: 40/45/50/55/60 Mana

Range: 300
Talon's next basic attack deals bonus physical damage. If the target is a champion, they will bleed, taking additional physical damage over a period of time and revealing their location for the duration.
Talon's next basic attack deals an additional 30/60/90/120/150 (+30% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage. If the target is a champion, the target will bleed for 10/20/30/40/50 (+120% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage over 6 seconds, revealing their location for the duration.
Rake
cost:60/65/70/75/80 mana
range: 650
Talon sends out a volley of daggers that then return back to him, dealing physical damage every time it passes through an enemy. Additionally the enemy is slowed for a short duration.
Talon sends out a volley of daggers that then return back to him, dealing 30/55/80/105/130 (+60% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage every time it passes through an enemy. Additionally the enemy is slowed by 20/25/30/35/40% for 2 seconds.
Cutthroat
cost: 35/40/45/50/55 mana
range: 700
Talon instantly appears behind his target, briefly slowing them and amplifying his damage against that target.
Talon teleports to the far side of his target, slowing them by 99% for 0.25 second and amplifying Talon's damage against the target by 3/6/9/12/15% for 3 seconds.
Shadow Assault
cost: 100 mana
range: 650
Talon disperses a ring of blades and becomes invisible while gaining additional Movement Speed. When Talon emerges from invisibility, the blades converge on his location. Each time the blades move, Shadow Assault deals physical damage to enemies hit by at least one blade.
Talon disperses a ring of blades and becomes invisible for up to 2.5 seconds, gaining 40% Movement Speed. When Talon emerges from invisibility, the blades converge on his location. Each time the blades move, Shadow Assault deals 120/170/220 (+90% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage to enemies they pass through.
Combos

If you're going to go do some small trades you should always use Noxian Diplomacy before you use cutthroat because once you jump your next auto attack will apply your passive mercy with the addition Noxian Diplomacy damage.
You don't want to poke often with your Rake when your at your early laning phase because it drains mana.

1. The Laning Phase Combo
  • E+AA+Q+W(Tiamat)+AA
2. Standard Combo
  • Youmuu+E+Q+W+AA+Tiamat+R
4. Sneaky Combo
  • Youmuu+R+E+Q+WW+AA+Tiamat

For number 4 make sure you use your ult before in vision of the enemy.

Runes & Masteries

You want to Build Armor Penetration for your Marks instead of the typical Flat AD marks because you have so much burst they are bound to build armor against you. The Armor Penetration will negate some of their armor.

Masteries:Masteries I like to go 12/18/0 And get oppressor because it works really well with your passive. Also get Thunderlord because it's the most viable on him currently. I found that you should get Natural Talent in stead of vampirism and Should get Sorcery. (Sorry it was an error.)

Items

Items:
You want to rush Tiamat it will really help you with your combos and farming/clearing. If you're against a AP mid laner try to build Maw of Malmortius for your 2-4 item. Must buys are Ravenous Hydra and Youmuu's Ghostblade. Youmuu's Ghostblade is probably the most helpful item besides Ravenous Hydra it gives you that extra movement speed when you use your Shadow Assault or to catch up to fleeing enemies. Youmuu's Ghostblade is really good because it basically replaces Stormraider's Surge .

Other really good Items offense wise is Duskblade of Draktharr, Black Cleaver, Lord Dominik's Regards, Mortal Reminder, and Mercurial Scimitar

For boots I like to go for Boots of Swiftness with Alacrity enchant because of the buff they did to Boots of Swiftness

Farming

Farming is IMPORTANT you need to farm efficiently with the least amount of casualties as possible especially in the early game. Talon's start is really bad and he needs to farm really passively without trading. Trading with Rake cost of lot of mana so you need to use it when you position yourself to hit the minions and the enemy together so it doesn't go to waste as much, rather than poking.

Once you get Tiamat and is close to being level 6 you can start to burst people instantly.

Team Work

You need to play smart in Teamfights don't engage first let your tank do that. Stand from a far and once a squishy steps out of line you can pop your Shadow Assault and Cutthroat and try to burst down as many people as you can. Make sure you have an escape in handy before you go "balls deep" you're not tanky so you'll probably die without a proper escape like flash or teammate backup.
