Pros / Cons

- Pros & Cons

.............. .... Why to play him ?
Pros
Talon is a very good ganker, his Rake has some good Slow, his Cutthroat silences, wich can provide a good teamfight engage, or a nicely done gank.
He's got a great ability of killing squishies, using his ultimate, and specially his Cutthroat, to avoid them from using any heals, or abilities to escape.
A quite nice mobility, specially with this build.
Also a good anti-ranged fellow.
Nice cooldowns.

.............. .... What to be careful with ?
Cons
He's very squishy, at least before getting your The Bloodthirster.
Quite item reliant. Without some kills, or good farm, you're worthless.
If not used correctly, he's a squishy jungle.
Often suffers mana problems.

Runes

- Runes

Most of you will be waiting for this .. Explanation, as to "Why" did I choose Greater Quintessence of Swiftness as my Quints.
It's really easy. Talon's Harrass is BOSS. He goes in, damages, and then runs back out. With these Quints, you can do that even better. All you have to do is start with the normal boots, and run around with already 400 MS! Just go in, Cutthroat, Noxian Diplomacy, Rake and walk away before he can even move to attack you. It's such a FUN thing to do.

How To Summarize him

The title says it, what is he, really ? .. Burst damage, assasin, roamer ? .. What else ? .. Good vs Ranged Carries, Epic in mid lane, squishy jungle.. Anything else ? ..
Yes.
Over all of that, he's a champion, and his use is to win a match. Forget what Riot says, Assassin or not, builds are viable, if they work.
I'm telling this for one simple reason, flamers.
When people see Talon with one or two sustain items, they go like , and start raging. And I'll just remember, even if you like it, or not, that Talon is a champion, you build him the way you need to, in order to be alive, kill, and win the match. Talon, once he's got some good levels, and with only two or three damage items .. (Following this same guide, Ionian Boots of Lucidity, The Brutalizer, The Bloodthirster) has already enough damage to kill a lot of people, here and there. Sustain will help, too, so that's why I am adding this here..
ATMOG
People, this IS viable.

Warmog's Armor. This little thing that costs 3k gold gives you 1,2k HP points. This is WAY enough for you to be able to escape after whatever teamfight you've been into, and why not, in 1 vs 1 helps a lot.
Atma's Impaler. Together with Warmog's Armor, is a brutal combo. The armour it gives helps you, as well, in 1 vs 1, and giving you even more resistance. And since you'll be loosing some DMG by taking Warmog, Atma gives it to you with the nice passive.

I am aware that this combo may make you loose some damage, but it will give you enough sustain to do a lot of things more, like chase for a longer time, escaping, etc.

Creeping / Jungling

If you Are Well switch You'r summoner spell's.

- Jungling (Tips and Route).

Okay, so .. As we stated before, Life Steal as a first item for jungling with Talon doesn't really work, so we'll go with Cloth Armor and five heal pots. The route should be something around ...

NOTE: Noxian Diplomacy resets autoattack timer, so use it IMMEDIATELY after you autoattack, for better efficiency.

#1 We'll start at Blue Buff. Ask your teammates to help you with blue, so you go even faster. Some hits, to half life perhaps, and they can go back to their lane. Since we're starting with Rake, use it once, after the pull, and then as much as you can, untill you can kill him. You'll level up to 2, take Noxian Diplomacy. Don't forget about using your potion, and if you need another one, use up to 2, total.

#2 Now wolves. Go in, attack the one in the middle and instantly use Rake and activate your Heal potion. Then Noxian Diplomacy, and since you'll leave him very low life, switch to the one to the right, the big wolf will die because of the aftereffect of Noxian Diplomacy and Bladed Armor. Use Rake again, and Noxian Diplomacy, switch to the last one when he's very low life. On your way to #3, use another potion.

#3 Rake, activate another heal potion, Cutthroat and Noxian Diplomacy to the big wraith. Just like before, when he's low life, switch to the next, and so on. On your way to the golems, activate another potion, your fourth.

#4 Autoattack the big guy, Activate your potion, use Cutthroat on the big golem, Noxian Diplomacy and Rake, to hit them both. Noxian Diplomacy whenever you can, again, and when the big golem is very, very low life, switch to the other one. Whenever you kill them you might, or might not have enough gold for Vampiric Scepter. If you don't, go and kill Wraiths, just like before. Now go Base, buy Vampiric Scepter, and come to the Red Buff.

#5 Cutthroat to the big Lizard, Rake on all of them and Noxian Diplomacy. Use Rake and Noxian Diplomacy as much as you can. Smite him when he's half life, and finish him. Then do the other two and you'll be ready to gank whatever line needs it. You are also able to do whatever you want in the jungle now, you can take any of them.

## Ganking ##

The skill sequence is quite easy. Tell your friend to go on and pull him, attack him. Go in and use Cutthroat to silence any escape spell, or damage spell he might have, then Noxian Diplomacy, just after one autoattack, and finally Rake, so you make sure he doesn't run away. If you happen to be level 6, after you use Rake, and if he's low life enough, double tap R, Shadow Assault, wich will cause the blades to go out, and come back in fast, dealing great damage.
