Introduction to Tankali

The Tankali build is very simply, it's an Ability Power focused Akali, but beefy and with good survivability. Tankali is recommended mostly for it your team doesn't have a tank, or only has one. Also, if your team has fed alot, it's good to build your champ with some extra survivability even if it means sacrificing some damage.

The first thing to keep in mind is that the boots are optional. If you are facing a DPS centered team, then go for the Ninja Tabi. The other huge thing about this build is that you will have nearly 1,000 hp at level 1, as well as decent MR and armor. While this doesn't give you much in means of attacking, it will certainly keep enemy champs from harassing you as you farm.

Farming is the most important key to this build. Since it will be harder to get kills with reduced AP, you will need to max out your "E" first and farm hard, buy, then farm more.

The other main advantage to this build besides easier farming is that you don't necessarily have to lead with your pool in team fights due to your tankish quality. You can take some hits for the team, but before you get too low pop your heal and disappear into your pool and if you need to flash through a wall to escape.

This build does not have to be followed in exactness, this is more an idea for a more survivable Alaki who can tank and carry if need be. The purpose for this build is to create an Akali that can survive team fights while still produce a fair amount of damage.

Yup, that's it!

PS: if your team doesn't have ranged, ask to take mid to increase your farming pleasures.

Runes

So..i guess that's not really it. Why you ask? This site has informed me that this build is marked "incomplete" so i guess i'll explain this a bit more for popularities sake, eh?
The runes are purely for early survivability, to cut down on the harassment you receive while farming. Farming is the key to an early success, so do it well.

Ranked play

The old sports saying goes "offense wins games, defense wins championships". This is applicable to ranked LOL play. In normal games, you could beat nubs fast by being the most efficient killer. In ranked this is no longer the case. You are in the championship, not the normal game anymore. Build to beat the other team, not kill them. Even if this means sacrificing an AP item for thornmail against a pure DPS team, or changing little things like the boots you buy to give you an edge. Remember, in ranked those who play to win are favored above those who play to kill.
