Introduction

Hello my alias on LoL is KatyPerysexslave (lol i know) i'm here to give you my personal guide on Rammus: The Armordillo


If You are looking for a fun and amazing tank Rammmus might just be for you, Rammus shines at singling out one opponent in a team fight and once Rammus has that person in his combo they are assured dead(as long as your team has a half a brain...) Note, this guide will be to Jungling Rammus, the reasons i think Rammus is such a phenomenal jungler are these; He's not a very strong laner, He is a AMAZING ganker with his Powerball, his mobility with Powerball makes his jungling faster, and His jungling isn't to hard and fairly fast. If jungled properly you should be equal too or at least very close to mids level. One other thing to note, with the combo i explain below, while Rammus also tanks he is a LETHAL KILLER.

Combo

I thought i'd let you know Rammus' combo before going to far into the guide.

Powerball(Q) into them, Defensive ball Curl(W), Puncturing Taunt(E), and Tremors(R). This slows them when you roll into them, forces them to attack you while taking damage from DBC(W) while DBC is also reducing the damage you take, and taking damage from your tremors at the same time. This combo is a very potent and a painfull Attack to whoever you use this on. When you get to the items section, i will show you how this combo is even MORE painful ;).

Runes

These Runes are Pretty straight forward, your quints give a great amount of health for your early game jungling and ganking. Your marks give your tremors more damage which is important while there forced to stand next to you, these runes can be swapped with more armor if you want. Seals are flat armor, this makes your jungling easier and is a good amount of armor in general. No tank is complete without Magic Resist so magic resist per level glyphs are perfect.

Masteries

With this mastery set up you have reduced damage from minions, extra health/health regen, and you have the 15% longer Monster Buffs. You can grab upgraded Smite if you see fit but i don't think it is necessary.

Items

Now these Items are mostly gonna be used every game BUT i will explain what items to get if your opponents team is extremely AD heavy and AP heavy.

Now how your items work with your combo is so. While taunted the must attack you with there basic attacks so Thornmail will be hurting them quite a bit, and while they have to stand right next to you they will also be taking damage from you Sunfire Cape, pretty mean huh?

Now if your opponents team is AD heavy its practically gg for you ;) with lots of armor, you get more attack damage and your Thornmail will hurt them even more so my build for an ad heavy team would be Mercury Treads, Thornmail, Sunfire Cape, Warmogs Armor, Aegis of Legion, and Banshee's Veil. This will make you EXTREMELY hard to kill.

Now the only time you don't want your Thornmail is when the opponents team has 4 or 5 AP characters. For an extremely AP heavy team i'd say go Mercury Treads, Aegis of Legion, Warmogs, Force of Nature, Banshee's Veil, and Sunfire Cape. Sunfire is still good because it helps your passive, gives health and the aura for your taunts.One thing to note, if your opponents team is AP heavy you probably wont be getting as many kills but you can still bust out some kills here and there.
