Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello, thanks for reading my first build.
This is a build for Warwick that maximizes his natural talents as a tank and makes him very hard to kill in duels or team fights.
Keep in mind that I play this build as a JUNGLER. Obviously Warwick is much better in the jungle than in lanes anyway, so this shouldn't come as too much as a surprise.
This build works off of stacking health items while tying in the Atma's Impaler for attack damage conversion. The rest of his damage will come from Bloodrazer, Hungering Strike and Infinite Duress.
Utilizing this build, you will find that you will be able to
1. Initiate team fights with ease and (probably) not die.
2. Tank turrets in mid to late game for easy backdoor turret kills.
3. Turret dive for kills and chase champions up their lane and through their turrets.
Pros / Cons
Great survivability, even in the face of turrets.
Works well with other high-dps champions to set up ganks.
Can 1v2 many champions late-game with ease.
Low damage output until mid game.
Susceptible to ganks in jungle early on.
Weak against long silences/stuns during team fights.
Mostly standard jungling runes.
Magic or armor pen marks, armor seals, CDR or attack speed glyphs and armor pen Quints.
Armor pen helps with your basic attack and Atma's Impaler, but magic pen will help improve your Hungering strike. It's mostly a matter of which you prefer.
Armor seals are for early jungling, but also contribute to your tank.
Attack speed contributes to early jungling.
Utility for jungling, defense for tankiness.
Don't need anything in offense except smite because all of your damage will be percent based.
If you prefer, you can substitute smite and get the final mastery in defense.
Get Cloth Armor and two health potions first. You'll need them for jungling.
Get blue buff then kill wolves. Kill red buff then kill wraiths and golems.
Hearth, get Madred's Razor.
Besides the Madred's Bloodrazor, the rest of your build is devoted to health and tanking.
Some items can be substituted if you feel you need more armor.
For example, you can substitute the Frozen Mallet for a Sunfire Cape; or Leviathan if you're doing particularly well.
Additionally, the boots can be switched out for other boots depending on the enemy team make-up. If there's a lot of physical dps but not many CCs, grab the dodge boots. If ther'es a lot of spell damage or lots of CCs, get the MR boots.
Also pretty self explanatory.
I get hungering strike first, then max hunter's call.
I typically get Blood Scent rank 1 around level 7 to help with ganks, then ignore it until later levels.
Smite is the most important here. Necessary for easy and efficient jungling.
Second spell is debatable. I prefer Ghost or Flash.
Exhaust can work as well, but I don't think it's as useful as the other two.
Any other spells don't really work well with this build.
Thanks for reading my build, and I hope you enjoy it if you decide to try it out.
I'm aware the build isn't particularly fancy, so I tried to keep it concise.
If you have comments and criticisms, I would love to hear them. Throw 'em out!
