Definitely a good guide, used it as a rough backdrop going to top Nunu after not playing him since S3. Thanks for this.

I like the spell shield on banshee's veil because it can really help you get the channel on your ult, because it blocks an enemy spell that could have ended the channel on your ult. I suppose that if you were going to run both veil and visage(like against a magic damage heavy enemy team) then I would get both, but I wouldn't build an item early game that you're just going to replace later (except rare cases, like doran's items) because you don't get full gold back for selling. In terms of playing against ryze, harass him A LOT early game so he can't get too much farm, cuz he scales really well to late game. The nice thing is that he has no way to end your channel, unless you're squishy enough to get bursted by him. Consume through any harass he has early game and he'll run out of mana very quickly. Late game ... I guess just rely on your ult to be more helpful in teamfights than he is and hope he doesn't get incredibly large. Build magic resist. If they first pick ryze, I wouldn't take nunu into it, there are better matchups against ryze.

Against an AP top lane (like Ryze) you suggest taking banshees veil early. Wouldnt spirit visage be better early for your consume and then switch to banshees once team fights break out to help your ult not get interrupted? Also any tips against ryze?

Really good guide. I've been wanting to try out an AP bruiser because I realized they have some pretty good itemization (RoA, Rylais, Liandrys, Zhonyas, Iceborn, Athenes, Abyssal) and with 3 AP Bruiser items, boots, and Tank items you can add a good amount of AP damage while being tanky.

This guide is really well formatted and I think deserves to and will get higher once more people look for nunu (he was recently played in some Pro KOrean OGN games of skt t1k and samsung ozone).

I usually like champs with dashes though so I was thinking I would play shen AP bruiser top anyways I like this guide and nunu is cheap enough that I will definetly try it out a few times. Thanks for the advice will ask further questions once I try it out.
