I looked at the other tank-Xin build on mobafire, but it just couldn't make it work in game. So I started with messing with the items and came up with this: a tanky Xin with a very nasty surprise - high damage and fast movement!

EARLY GAME is very simple: play it safe, farm, build up gold and EXP. The HP regen from Dorian's Shield will help keep you in the lane longer, but only if you don't take damage you don't have to. Get Mercury's Treads ASAP, they will help against the CC that is sure to come your way. Use your summoner spells freely, but don't push for kills. If you have an enemy champ pressing you, slap exhaust on them, give them a wack from your spear, then retreat. Most likely they will retreat as well, thinking you are going to press THEM. Mind games like this are your friend.

MID GAME is when the action starts to really heat up. Get Sword of the Divine and wail away on creeps, building up as much gold as you can. The next two items should be built in whatever order you see fit: Randuin's Omen and Force of Nature. These will be the core of your tank, raising your resistance until you are taking less than half of all physical and magical damages.

END GAME gives you some leeway. The build I've listed is for Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge, stacking to give a 50% critical rate. If you are partial to hybrid builds, want some AP, more HP and Mana, and are willing to give up the Dodge chance and 30% crit rate from Phantom, switch that for Trinity Force.

Once you have the full build and your team is all set, steamroll up any lane toward the enemy base. When the other team moves to intercept you, hit their lines at full throttle. Lead with Audacious Charge, roll out Crescent Sweep then pick your target and disable with Three Talon Strike. Finish your target off with Battle Cry's AS boost and move on to a second target, using the active on Randuin's Omen to keep them slowed and dieing. Don't push too far too fast, though. Make sure your team mates are keeping up with you, because even as tanky as this Xin build is, if isolated he can still die.
