BTW, I jungle with that yi. That is the most efficient way to farm the gold amount.

Atma is a cheap, gold-efficient, extremely viable item.

But anyways, I'll give this build a try, in addition to being as tanky as an Olaf it has a natural high DPS, looks viable to me...

Sorry, US here. I will concede your point about Tankyi being underpowered against a Crit Yi. However, I also want to point out that when laned against one another, this Yi will dominate mid game and will shut down the other Yi completely (I've done it many times). I'm not saying that this Yi does massive crits like a Crit Yi will. But he still does more damage than most other tanks and coupled with a smart player, juking mid fight with Alpha Strike will give the opponent fewer chances to land a hit, a chance for your team to come closer, and you will still do damage to the opponent. As I get more time I will be updating and adding to the guide. Check in when you have a chance.

Edit: I also want to say that the base AD for yi without Wuju active gets to be ~230 with this build. I don't think Atma's is shown properly, nor is his passive with Wuju.

I see your point in it but i'm still doubting the attack damage. The atma bonus isn't alot and without any other attack bonusses except frozen mallet his attacks won't even surpass 150 which is less then 1/3 of my yi's attack. Your build has indeed a higher survivability due to health and armor but if your up against a yi with high damage, attack speed, lifesteal(25%) and armor penetration i doubt you'll win. We can test this of course if you want, i'm actually curious about it myself. If you play the EU server feel free to invite me for a test match to see the results of our builds compared ^^

Jennoula, this is a pure tank build. However, it works with Yi because of his naturally high AD and AS. Atma's is where most of the damage will come from in the build though, and it gains more power as you keep upgrading with Randuins and Banshee later in the game. I don't intend to take the role of a tank. I merely play as a beefier Yi who will not be killed within 2 seconds of combat when focused. This build can drain a Singed with 4000 hp within seconds. And he can't escape between your Alpha Strike and Highlander even with his toss or slow. You even have cleanse if things are messy. Piled on that is one more: Frozen mallet will slow no matter what.

One thing about this tank build as well is how much damage you can soak up with Meditate. I have played games where I get triple kills within enemy tower range, tap w, and finish the tower single handedly. It's hard to do, but play smart, not aggressively.

I challenge you to play this build. Take into mind what I have said about it, learn the in and outs. It is a hybrid. But don't hate just because you don't understand.

Hello my friend...Well your 1st idea is good but you make 1 minor mistake..Tank is no a char that can take a lot of dmg..With you sceptical all chars are tank..One tank need first of all 1 good cc skill and some ways to initiate..You choose 1 pure dd as tank???Why you should do that??You want to play tank or off tank?There are chars who are made for this work...For explain you can't play rammus/shen(Pure Tanks) or Sona/Soraka (Pure supportes) as a pure dd..If you want to tank choose one or at least take one of tank..But not YI as tank...

I can see exactly what you are going for in this build, considering you explained it in the guide. I may try out this build sometime when I get back into playing Yi. It looks good, just as you said, a hard early game. I would just suggest talking a little bit more about why you picked each item you did. For some people, they might want some clearing up in why you, in example, got Banshee's Veil. Either way, I like the idea of this build. +1 :D
