Introduction

Hi, this is my first guide ever on mobafire.com
I've played an insane amount of games with Taric, when i want to be sure to win.. well i pick taric.I'm not a pro nor i'm an High ELO player, mostly because solo queue in rated is a nightmare for the first matches, things like at lvl 5 vlad mid decide he wants something to eat -> /afk left and things like that. I'll try to update this guide for mid ELO and stuff when i can.
I won't write an insane amount of text. but read & try it before rate.

This guide isn't great, some items buy are situational exemple: HoG,AotL,Deathcap
I've spent a bit of time for this guide, i hope you'll take some time to read everything and try it before rate/comment

Runes

So... Runes...
well

Yellow -> MP5xLVL you will have mana nearly 100% of the time thanks to runes,passive,and philos
Red -> MPEN
Blue -> APxLVL taric scales insanly well with AP, so you'll need them.

Items

You'll start with Doran's ring, gives you everything you need.
After that you'll go back to base only when you have the money for the first philo (remember, you are in the game to help your team and support as much as you can so DO NOT LAST HIT CREEPS, your AD CARRY will need them, you DON'T)
So you are back to the lane, stay there until you have money for the next philo and t1 boots, you should get those items pretty early in the game.
After that start with map control, p.s: MAP control, MAP not lane, you have 2 gold itmes wich are the best items you can get imho so gold wont be an issue, even if you buy a ton of wards.

Now you have two options, you can go back to the base when you can buy t2 boots & the HoG (if you feel that you need more HP but sell it after a bit to get the AotL), or, you can go back when you can buy t2 boots & a piece of the deathcap (if you go B and you can buy the t2 boots and you have money to buy the needlessy long staff, but you can't buy wards, simply don't buy the staff.

IF the tank doesn't want to do the Aegis of the legion simply go for it before the deathcap, the deathcap is a luxury item.

After that the game should be over

Skill Sequence

Q -> a very strong heal
W -> a nice AOE dmg
E -> insane stun
R -> mhm..k insane mana drain wich can help in team fight

You want to focus on the Q and E, usually i start with the stun, because wait to lvl 2 for the heal isn't a big deal. Q & E are the most important spells you can take.

P.S: don't be afraid of harrassing the enemy with the stun (E), it does an insane dmg and you can keep up with the mana no problem.

After you are done with the heal and stun you can take the ulti or shatter. i prefer to take the shatter.
Taric's ulti is a real mana drain, it's very good BUT you can provide as much support in team fight with the shatter without loosing all your mana ( you want to be able to heal & stun as much as you can).

I know that not taking the ulti whn you can sounds a bit crazy, try it, then if you want comment.

One last thing, your stun is and will be VERY POWERFUL, DO NOT USE IT FOR KS ON TEAM FIGHT but if an enemy is getting away with no HP your stun will be like a predator missile.

Summoner Spells

Ghost -> ghost will be very useful, taric isn't immortal and you should use your Q to heal others not you. Ghost will let you run away if you are in a bad position, open a teamfight by stunning an enemy wich is in a bad position, or run to someone in your team wich is in danger
Clarity -> clarity will let you be in your lane 100% of the time and will help your team by giving them mana if they are low.

i don't use anything else on taric.

clairvoiyance:
is often the first choice for a support, but in this case you will have the enitre map full of wards ALL THE TIME.
Flash is a good summoner spells, one of the best, but not with taric, ghost will be two times better then flash.
