Grab a Meki Pendant first with a HP pot and a mana pot. You're starting with Dazzle for a possible First Blood with your lane partner, so the HP pot comes in handy if things turn out to be ugly in the beginning. Rush Nashor's Tooth as your first main item. Nashor's provide you with 25% CDR (with this build's runes and masteries, it sums up to a 39,89% CDR that is 0,1% away from the allowed limit). It also grants you a big boost of attack speed. "Why is this important for Taric?" - you ask. Pretty simple: heal CDR and his passive. The faster he smashes those glass foes, the faster the cooldown on Imbue decreases while building up his mana reserves in a jiffy. (No, I'm not English.) For boots, I almost always go for Mercury's Treads. This build favors Magic Resistance, Merc's Treads boost it a bit while making sure you won't be CC'ed for too long. Then I go for Abyssal Scepter for the MR and AP boost. After that, get an Archangel's Staff for more AP and for solving your mana hunger once and for all. (With Clarity this is no problem early game.) If the game is still going on, get a Rabadon's to crown your AP amount, and optionally get a Lich Bane to boost your AP/MR/damage output even further.
