Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello guys this is my first build ever and it features Teemo, the Swift Scout.
In this guide I'll show you an easy way to get first blood, and tactical shroom positioning.
It would be very important to me if you vote(even if it's a downvote) and express your doubts/questions about my guide in the comments.
Pros / Cons
- Awesome stealth (can be invisible forever)
- Noxious Trap has no cap
- Very powerfull nuker
- Anti AD champions
- Very squeeshy target
- Takes 2 sec to become stealthed and can't move
- Noxious Trap has 10 minutes duration
Ahhhhh Teemo, that sweet poison of yours, your blinding love to share with all of us.
The way I think Teemo is meant to play is as a massive nuker. Imagine yourself taking a walk on the river when suddenly you step over a Teemo's Noxius Trap.... You barely survive, and when you are recovering from the slowing poison BAM! A wild Teemo appears from nothing and nukes you down with his Blinding Dart.
It is the most effective way I find to play with Teemo is this: Plant your shrooms wise and then just stand still near them as you see your enemies die with its poison... And if it's not enough just Blinding Dart and AA them till death.
But then how would you be usefull in teamfights?? Easy, just tell your teammates to lure your enemies into starting a fight in the place you got your shrooms, your deadly poison will be very effective in a teamfight.
For Runes I take:
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration x9
Why? Cause I'm building a full AP nuker and i need Magic Penetration
Greater Seal of Ability Power x9
Well, when it comes to seals it depends on what kind of player you are, if you're the kind of player that spams skills whenever they are available I would recommend Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration or Greater Seal of Replenishment, if you are like me you'll find that these runes are perfect for early harrasment due to poison.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power x9
These are good runes for scaling AP, since these runes overcome Greater Glyph of Ability Power by lvl 6, the same lvl you get your ultimate.
If you want to take flat runes on glyphs it's your choice, again it depends on the type of player.
Greater Quintessence of Ability Power x3
For early harrasment, the best.
- Ignite is essencial for an early kill
- Flash combined with Move Quick and you escape from any enemy. (unless you get stuned or any other way to prevent the use of skills)
Other viable spells:
- Teleport, just do it to a shroom and u can get anywhere;
- Cleanse, can release you from stuns;
- Ghost, more speed can't hurt anybody.
Every other spell is useless except for Exhaust but it won't be very effective since your AAs aren't that powerfull.
It's important to max your Toxic Shot before any other skill.
Why? Cause it is your best way to harass early game.
After Toxic Shot max Blinding Dart, in mid-late game you'll find that THIS IS your nuke, besides its massive damage it also blinds enemies wich is pretty effective if you're against Tryndamere or Ashe etc...
Leave Move Quick for last because you don't really need it in this build. You just need to plant shrooms and wait near them for any unlucky enemy champion who steps on one.
REMEBER TO ALLWAYS MAX YOUR ULT WHENEVER IT'S AVAILABLE(at lvl 6/11/16)
Now here is the tricky part:
First off start with Boots of Speed and 2 Health Potion;
Next Finish your Sorcerer Shoes and if the game is going well for you start buying a Mejai's Soulstealer;
Try to get a Rabadon's Deathcap and a Void Staff as soon as possible. If the enemy team is composed by heavy Magic Resist champions consider buying the Void Staff first;
Last but not least a Rylai's Crystal Scepter for the slow and the bonus health.
Ok now your base items build is complete. BUT there is 1 item missing. This is opcional:
- Against AP Heavy team like Veigar and LeBlanc consider buying a Lich Bane it helps to nuke them down really fast
- Against AD Heavy team like Master Yi and Tryndamere a Nashor's Tooth would be good for your Blinding Dart since it lowers cooldown, or a Zhonya's Hourglass so you can get invulnerable till the cooldown on your Blinding Dart fades.
- If you are being focused buy a Banshee's Veil
- I think Malady it's also a good choice for a 6th item but I don't usally buy it
First blood technique (for lane use only)
This is my personal tactic that I usually use on premades with my friends.
First you need a lane parter who has a stun/slow.
Here are some viable choices:
- Blitzcrank (doesn't have a stun but Rocket Grab is awesome)
- Rammus ( Puncturing Taunt, also awesome)
- Sion (with this one no need to stun the enemy, put a point in Enrage and the AAs plus the Exhaust will be enough)
Ezreal it's good too, I've tried it with a friend and it worked good.
Your lane partner should bring Exhaust.
Now here is how you do it:
Wait until the enemies enter the back bushes where your team mate is and AA, Ignite one enemy down. After this focus his partner, but most of the times he can run away due to flashes etc...
It's possible that your enemies can get away, if they Flash and Ghost or Flash and Heal
Teemo is only good for mid if you face against an AD champion. No need to say that would be because of your blind.
Whenever you're mid, make sure that as soon as you get your ult you put some shrooms on both the side brushes to prevent ganks.
Wait stealthed where I am untill someone steps your shrooms and gets under 50% HP, then Blinding Dart them and AA till death.
Put these shrooms here and tell your team mates to start a teamfight near there. It's a sure win.
Early game just put them in the river to prevent ganks.
Well this was my build with Teemo, The Swift Scout.
Hope you guys liked it, any doubts please comment, I'll be checking it everyday.
If you guys want I can make a video with me playing Teemo.
