Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This build is primarily a DPS/Lifesteal build designed to keep you in the lane as long as possible. This works well whether you are solo'ing the middle lane or partnering with someone on the side lanes.
You can get a 25% attack speed bonus from alacrity marks and quintessences. Your glyphs will help with skill cooldowns, and as a result, you will need the mana regen from seal runes (because you'll be using your skills more often, duh).
The utility tree really helps stack onto those rune bonuses. It gives you even more cooldown reduction and even greater mana regen. This means you can spawn mushrooms all over the place without even needing to blue pill for mana. Don't worry about health either, your lifesteal items will cover that. Because of this, you can stay in the lane for huge amounts of time, helping you level faster than the opponent (dont forget about the 5% exp bonus from the util tree too). By mid-game, you should be the highest level champion on your team! You should also put points in Sorcery under the offense tree for optimal cooldown reduction.
Noxious Trap > Toxic Shot > Blinding Dart > Move Quick
These two spells are my favorite because they can both be used offensively or defensively. (Use exhaust to either kill off an enemy or slow him down so you can run away. Use flash to chase or run away.)
ITEM BUILD / STRATEGY:
Because you want to stay in the lane as long as possible, you'll want items that give you lifesteal. Start off with a doran's blade and a hp pot. Get toxic shot first because that is your best weapon early in the game. Use it to harass the enemy champions. Your job is to simply land one toxic shot on them, then retreat. The poison will do the attacking for you. Keep the enemy champion's hp low by repeating this step. Atk once then retreat. If they get too close and try to attack you, simply use your blinding dart, then move back. You should be able to stay in the lane until you reach lvl 6. At lvl 6, plant a mushroom in the middle of the lane so you can keep the enemy creeps at bay while you blue pill back to shop. At that point, you should have enough money for Berserker greaves. If you can afford it, then pick up a vampiric scepter as well. Again, you'll want to stay in the lane as long as possible, so don't blue pill until you have enough money to shop again. Your next item should be executioner's calling. You'll have so much fun seeing all these numbers fly off your enemies. The next item you should work for is a malady for its low cost and lifesteal/atk speed. Next up is the frozen heart which is an absolute must. It helps you with survivability and slows the enemy down for you to kill. You should sell your doran's sword at this point to get the frozen heart faster. If the other team has alot of spell casters, grab a wit's end too and shut them down. A bloodred madrazor is also helpful if the other team has at least two tanks (if it is just one tank though, then I wouldn't bother to get it because of the high cost).
After level 10, you should move around the map to help set up ganks. You are one of the fastest champions with your Move Quick ability, so use it to your advantage and help your teammates out. Plop some mushrooms on the way too so that you can see if enemy champions are coming your way. I like to fill up the jungle entrances with mushrooms so that me and my teammates can escape ganks. The slowness that the enemies suffer from the mushrooms have saved my teemo's life many times.
