It's quite interesting but your AS Thresh is a viable support, if you got a Wit's End instead of BT and enough souls, you'd have a supp Thresh that is tanky, has perma-slow on AAs, can steal 25 magic res in a instant while shredding very fast the magic res from 3 different targets and has some serious damage for a supp thanks to BoTRK, the only drawback is that it requires that your team as at last a real tank and an offtank.

I like the guide and had fun with the build! Could you update it? I think that if you updated it more often, then you may perhaps have more views. You could also possibly go more in-depth into the laning phase and other strategies you have etc. But what it is right now is ok too, short and easy enough to read. GJ!

I never new that life steal proc'ed on flay too :P. All of these changes you made, shift some of your late game power, towards the early game. This is all personal preference, like you said, and would work better when facing a hard lane. As you get used to Thresh and get better at playing him, you won't need the early power as much and can change it back to having the late game power.

- " I like to try and feed my ADC "
- this implies you play him support. Do you?

Thanks for your opinion, if more comments like this come up (say 2 more?) then I will add this into the guide as another option.

Very Nice guide Gilly and I'm having a blast using this build, However I make a few slight changes myself.
This is just my personal prefernce and opinion so feel free to disreguard it.
I use Lifesteal quints as this procs BOTH from you're AA AND your Flay Passive making for some really nice early, and even late game sustain.
I skip both Double Edged sword and Dangerous Game for Blade and Spell Weaving.
Double, becuase While it it nice early game, It will get you killed in team fights late game. Dangerous Game because I feel Blade Weaving has more to offer and I like to try and feed my ADC (I'll still get the soul after all!)
I grab Juggernaught over Hardyness because even with Thresh's low early game armour I find the Health just as usefull and it scales better late game.
Also I go for Recovery over Enchanted armour becuase enchanted is only useful late game, and by then you won't need it as much, while you can defitly use the HP regen early game.
I know it seems like overkill since I already have so much sustain but I DO begin with Dorans Blade. All this sustain helps keep you in lane, the extra health helps with low starting armour and the extra DMG helps with the lack of attack quints.
Cheers for the wonderful guide and keep up the good work.
EDIT
As for the AD build, I hold off trinity and get a Static shiv after sheen. Also try Maw as an optional item in either build. The one thing thresh really lacks is MR and maw offers this without sacrificing much power.

"In-Depth guide", you have hardly any chapters, if you have accidentally published it, you should archive it.
