Hmm I'd prefer getting IceBorn Gauntlet first because it's a great item with cool slows

I presume by the stats of 'redemption', it will be a good item on taric. It passive is +10% bonus healing and shielding power. Which is the main reason behind me asking this, as i believe that the passive works well with taric's kit. Is it a good item on him?

Yes! I have not gotten the chance to play since the release of new items, but based on what I've read redemption would complement Taric's kit very well. Just make sure when buying this not to exceed your CDR cap!

Additionally I would recommend this if you're laning against a poke-based lane that would call for you to need to heal and shield very often (along with the second, alternative page of masteries that I discussed in the guide).

Hey man, perfect guide for new Taric main like me :3 Can you give me a little insight for laning against Brand and Bard support?

Hey, glad you liked the guide!

Brand and bard are both skillshot-based poke supports. Practicing your reaction time will get you far against these two champions.

For bard, try your best not to position yourself in a way that will get you stunned. The stun on his Q works only if it hits something else after (or before) hitting you. This means it can be activated by a wall, your ADC, or even a minion. Stay away from the walls when possible, and avoid lining yourself directly up between or behind your ADC or a minion (relative to bard).

Brand has a more diverse way of poking, but most of the time he'll save his Q (the straight line skillshot) until after he's hit you with another ability. Brand can be difficult to deal with because he has an incredibly long range on his W. His two primary combos when poking will be W > Q or E > Q. Although his stun combo relies on hitting his Q after another ability, remember that he can also toss out a fireball here and there just to proc his spellthief's. I advise you to try to get familiar with the range of all of Brand's abilities, and this is probably best done by playing Brand himself. As a last note, when you see brand use his all-in combo with his ultimate, try your best use your own ultimate in order to counter his passive explosion effect.

Best of luck!

I used to play a lot of Taric before his rework. I tried a match with the new reowrked Taric yesterday and I went 1-0-31, although I only got an S-. I then decide to get back to playing him and checked Mobafire for builds. This build of yours is really good and the main items you use are the one I also use. I know now how to ward better and just be more confident and decisisve thanks to your guide. Thanks. :D

also Taric works really well with Akali. My boyfriend played a lot of games with her and I played Taric. If I do my W on her and she does her ultie you can easily stun somebody. Also I saved her a lot in teamfight with my ultie.

hey something you could include under abilities for q is that when attacking towers if you have loads of mana you can spam q while aa´ing to take down towers really fast

Do you have a ranking and suggestions for playing against a Sona support?
3
YslayerZ (8) | July 8, 2016 12:09pm
Sona can be a pretty tough support to play against because she has so much poke as well as good sustain. The only advice I can give when playing against Sona is to be mindful of your positioning in relativity to where she is. Learn the range of her Hymn of Valor and try to stay just out of range. If you see her use it while your ADC or you are in range, try to throw up a shield before it can land.

Other than that, just heal up to sustain yourself through the laning phase. Sona has no escapes, so she's a pretty easy kill if you're able to catch her without summoners, so asking your jungler to come gank is a good idea too.

This is a seriously fantastic guide on how to play one of the most fabulous champions. This guide offers excellent insight into Taric's basic game play, like his item build and mastery page, and even went the extra mile to explain his advantages and counterpicks. Everything in this guide is EXTREMELY detailed (but worry not; it does not take away from reading the guide at all!)

The format of the guide is also fantastic.

And let us not forget those beautiful snapshots of the dazzling gem man himself.

I am quite ready to take this guide to the rift and beat people senseless with a hammer and glorious pink leg warmers. Because that light at the end of tunnel, well...it's me. ;D

I am a Diamond 3 support main. I mainly use Taric right now. I agree with your ability maxing with ult, e, q, then w. I personally like face of the mountain, but I see people also get the one that builds out of targons and sightstone too.

When playing Taric, I used to prefer FotM, but I eventually switched over to the Eyestone. He already has a shield from Bastion and he will usually have another one from Locket; another shield from FotM may be excessive.
