i like the guide but i think Doran's Blade is a good choice. first of yes you maybe need to be a good player like you wrote '' I would only pick this if I felt extremely confident about winning the lane.'' but if u think like this instead Broken Wings is a very mobile ability i use it for run away from enemies example: use the first 2 jumps to get near turret last to knock them back and maybe combo that with Ki Burst use Valor as charge and combo it with Ki Burst. Then u dont need shoes in start but i do play with shoes when i for example meet yorik and i feel i cant handle him or i've been of riven for a while so it feels more protecting with 3x Health Potion I have not yet voted but im very positive about your guide it's depth eventhough it's not ready yet so keep up the good work you are really good at coding and all! :)
please look at my short summary of riven guide to :)

Thank u for replying ^^

I don't play ranked so my experience may seem (and probably is) irrelevant.

My problem until recently was really nothing more than inventing wheel all over again and failing, it all had to do with me getting Hexdrinker or a Phage too early and there fore falling off at mid game. Such a simple mistake but that's what u get when u try being smart xD

The other thing is entirely player side issue - being a noob. I would go in with my team some 10m away and start beating on enemy team getting them to half health (ADC at least) and die while my team divides into 2 groups : 1) they see what I did and think of it as an opportunity to attack
2) they see what I did and think of it as a sing to retreat

Either way as I found out the hard way Riven as powerful as she is needs to be careful nothing more xD
I bet that didn't help at all, oh and by the way as of my last post I won 8 games in a row and it's all thanks to you ^^

Thanks for your UBER fast response :D It may just be me or it just happens to everyone, but I dont receive notifications when people post on my build. So yeah. Anyway, I'm glad that you won so many games with my build :D I was really hoping that this build would revolutionise how people play Riven, but I'm going to be making some changes when S3 starts, to keep my build all freshlike, and because since the item nerfs, it isnt as awesome as it originally was at the start of S2 (Thats when I started playing Riven)

Thanks again for you upvote and posts :D

I have been having a hard time playing Riven as of late, started to doubt the validity of my item combos, but after seeing your guide I am at ease cooldown reduction on Riven IS the way to go, I just have to get myself straight and all will be well.

Btw how do you feel about Frozen Heart?

Well, whilst it seems like a really nice idea, basically halving all of your cool downs, everything in my build (except Guarding Angel) contributes somewhat to your damage output. But, 99+ armour isnt anything to laugh at, so if you are constantly focusing on the enemies AD carry, I can't see anything wrong with that. Me personally? My first target is the AP carry. They tend to not have much sustain from burst, whereas a sneaky ADC can just lifesteal or jump (thats you ***real) away from your combo. I tend to not play as a seriously tanky Riven. Glass canon is my favourite, but I will give it some serious thought, and give it a go sometime.

Also, thanks for you vote :D means a lot

Finally, what kind of challenges were you facing playing Riven? Telling me would help a lot, I can write a chapter on how to learn how to play her, instead of just what to buy.

Warmogs is more situational, your build doesn't have any magic resist. So hexdrinker into maw is usually a better choice than warmogs.
Guardian angel can also be substituted for warmogs.

This build is OK.

MR is for the weak ;)
I'll give it some thought.
