Going for straight HP on Skarner is not ideal IMO since you want your W shield to last as much as possible so it is better to buy resistances. You are not really explaining Skarner's role in team fights, how he should initiate, wether shall he target the enemy ad carry or protect his. 139 MR is not that much and even with that Warmog's Armor, Madred's Bloodrazor will shut you down. Getting Rod of Ages as your last item (especially when you have such an expensive item as Trinity Force in your build) is an extremely bad choice, it will not have enough time to stack up. Getting Boots of Speed before Sheen is way better because a smart solo top laner will know that Skarner's weakness is kiting and if you don't even have boots he will totally dominate you. You are focusing on early AP/AS with that Nashor's Tooth but you are maxing E last, wich has the best AP ratio in Skarner's kit. I tried to adapt my review to a world where building Skarner like this is optimal.
