Chapter -1: Build Notes

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL

In the case that you do not know... when you look at the build page and see subtitles such as "Masteries" you will notice dark blue appended text that reads out "+ NOTES". If you aim your mouse at the "+ NOTES" a text bubble will pop up containing all notes regarding that section. I added notes to each subtitle but some people have not noticed so please check it out.

PS. I know its stupid and hard to find but bare with it until MOBA staff decide to fix it.

PSS. If i get 70% vote ups I promise to review, spruce up, and add to this guide

Chapter 2: Owning your Jungle

With the new gears Jungle is hella easy and fast to farm up on. The key to get your team a dominating head start is to kill all jungle creeps on your side of the map (this includes both red lizard and blue golem) in one go without going to base in between. If you get a decent leash (since leashing system changed) You can do this and have enough hp to GANK. Yes I am telling you to GANK as soon as you kill the last creep on your side in one cycle, don't go back to wolves or wraiths, when you gank the time would be around 5:00 so yes tell your team at the very start "Give me leash blue, I will gank at 5:00" this will reassure them and will earn you a decent leash. Following above method usually gets me FB if it was not already gotten, either way I always get a kill without dying at this stage of the game.

The next part is important, gank any other lanes you need to and start jungle farming UNTIL you see your blue or red has respawned (whichever one you went for first).Make sure you go shop first, when this happens rush the blue golem on the enemies side (or red if enemy jungle is lee sin or something). Steal that buff, do not kill the small lizards. Then proceed to your own blue -ganking mid along the way if it needs it- and take your own blue killing the lizards (you are going to take your own red if you took your enemies red); REPEAT this step for the other enemy buff, provided you followed the build right and managed to get enough money during the first ganking stage, it is time to initate the second ganking stage. At this point to continue OWNING YOUR JUNGLE, you pretty much rince and repeat the above steps while following the build I made, now comes the interesting part.

BEFORE YOU GET ZEKE HERALD UPGRADE YOUR AVARICE BLADE TO SWORD OF THE DIVINE.

Then to finish off the build (since you have 6 items after avarice blade), when you have enough money to buy a Warmog, sell your spirit of ancient golem, buy that warmog, and buy elixers.

The jungle phaze is officially over, do not go jungle anymore, you are now to follow Chapter 3.

Chapter 3: Owning late game

The key with these build is to have a dominant w atack damage early game as well as late game so that not only jungle but also all lanes are progressing in your favor, the key to winning with this build late game is to hide in bush, let your team mates bait and then you unleash hell(activate Sword of the Divine), while unleashing hell once whoever you are focusing is at half health, use your W! This should ensure you get the kill and there will only be 21 seconds until you can activate Sword of the Divine again. Your W should have a similar cooldown time :)

With this build, everytime your W and Divine Sword are ready someone is going to die!

When focusing a real squishy, use your W attack on them after you hit the 4 (YES 4) times! That way whatever ammount of damage your W does it will do the most against their armor.

Bonus Chapter 1: Lore

Though the northern reaches of Freljord are some of the most unforgiving lands in Valoran, the Ursine have survived upon the region's barren, stormy tundra for centuries. As a fierce and respected warrior of the Ursine, Volibear devoted his life to the protection of his people and loyalty to his elder brother, the tribe's chief. When his brother was killed during a hunt on the tundra, the tribe looked to Volibear as his successor. It was an honor and a burden that Volibear had never expected, but he shouldered the charge with pride. However, by Ursine tradition, the tribe could not recognize Volibear as chief until he returned from a journey to the peak of their sacred mountain, a place forever shrouded in a thundering maelstrom. There, Ursine chieftains must speak to the storm itself, gaining clarity and wisdom to empower them as mighty leaders.

Donning the chieftain's traditional armor and enchanted gauntlets, Volibear began the long and perilous climb up the slopes of the mountain. When he reached the peak and gazed into the raging storm above, he saw a horrific vision of a Freljord utterly consumed by war. Amidst the carnage, the Ursine fell dead upon a bloody battlefield. Believing the vision to be an omen of things to come if he did not act against them, Volibear traveled to the capitol of Freljord. The Ursine had not ventured across the southern mountains in centuries and his appearance was met with unease. However, Queen Ashe recognized Volibear as a wise and powerful ally. In what Volibear considered the first step against a war-torn future, they forged an alliance. As part of their agreement, he joined the League of Legends in the name of a unified Freljord, representing the primal might of his nation on the Field of Justice.

''Few can weather the storm that follows in the wake of Volibear's roar.''
-- Ashe, the Frost Archer

Bonus Chapter 7: Tips

Lead the charge with Rolling Thunder and slow enemies with Majestic Roar.
Volibear benefits a great deal from additional health and cooldown reduction.
You must attack three times in rapid succession before Frenzy can be activated--having the toughness to survive for a long time is one way to accomplish this goal. (I prefer 4 times so that effects of Black Cleaver are maxed)

Bonus Chapter 8: Notes

This information is extremely useful if you want to be a true pro with Volibear so read attentively:
Rolling Thunder resets the autoattack timer and will apply the bonus damage on towers.
Rolling Thunder can knock an enemy through very thin walls.
Rolling Thunder will retain its movement speed buff for the full 4 second duration even if the fling is activated prior to the end of the buff.
Majestic Roar will fear clones such as Mordekaiser's Children of the Grave or Shaco's Hallucinate.
If Chosen of the Storm comes off of cooldown while Volibear is under 30% health, it will not trigger unless Volibear takes damage.
