Evil Takes Half-Human Form in Cassiopeia

Cassiopeia is a very strong champion. I feel there aren't many characters that can beat a well-played Cassiopeia. Not only does she have ridiculous amounts of damage and an AoE stun, but a wide variety of items benefit her. Liandry's and Rylai's are a must, but after you get those, you can pretty much wing it. You can either keep building her straight damage (Blackfire, Wooglet's) or go a little more defensive. The only champion I have lost to as Cassiopeia is pre-rework Gragas. Remember that you become God once you land your Q. Use W to help land your Q. I see many lowbie players using W unwisely. Cass is a bully and your job is to make your enemies regret stepping foot on your tower, or in your lane. If you want to do well, stay in the back and land Qs as often as possible until one team initiates. Avoid the enemy ultimates and CC, and once they are blown, head into the fray and kill everyone!

Runes & Masteries Explanation

These are just the standard runes and masteries for a mage character like Cassiopeia. She does not need anything beyond some survivability, AP and magic pen, because she shouldn't be doing anything but poking with Q, and then going in for a kill while spamming E and remaining a close distance to the enemy. As I mentioned in the rune section, you can replace the magic resist glyphs with ability power if you choose. This will make you weaker versus AP champions, but make you more effective vs AD champions. However, if you can play well and build some magic resist (Abyssal Scepter) when needed, you should be fine.

No Boots Recommendation?

No, because boots are not necessary on Dominion. Unless the enemy has a Rammus, Hecarim, Evelynn or Shaco, you SHOULD never be caught off guard by backdooring, and most movement in Dominion is strictly for the trip back top. When you on your tower, you shouldn't need much movement speed: it is unwise to chase down to the enemy middle unless 3/4 of the enemy top laners are dead and do not have a revive trinket charge available. You will be 100% safe on your tower unless you are outnumbered or are not positioned correctly. I have never once had issues chasing as Cassiopeia with Rylai's, in the situations that have called for chasing. It is much more useful to build a sixth big-ticket item on her, and rape even harder.
