The items I have chosen are for vsing the more squishy mid champs. You should build a Catalyst if you are facing tankier opponents such as morderkaiser mid. I personally have played anivia over 100 times and can tell you tear of goddess is mutiple times better than athene's unholy grail on anivia. Anivia relies mainly on her spells to farm since her auto attacks are weak and attack speed is slow you will be constantly spamming your spells to farm and in team fights. This build is not the most tanky one, however anivia will always be in the back of teamfights and even if an enemy dashes you have your flash, a stun, a wall, and a slow to run away.

It is important to note that Anivia is exceptional at bursting down champions at level 2. You simply have to make sure you proc your Q twice then landing your E while the chilled effect is still on this will easily take out at least 300hp with the runes and masteries I have set up for you. I like to prioritize 1st blood since I chose more offensive runes and masteries. Of course you will miss CS, but if you get the 1st blood it will make up for it since the opponent will be losing CS and lane exp. Also after Level 6 you will be able to clear waves with just your Flash Frost and Ultimate. It helps a lot if Anivia gets the 2nd blue buff. After the blue buff clear waves and take the wraiths as much as you can.

It is very important to note Anivia is a low mobility champ so only overextend if you have warded. Also do not bother ganking before Lv 6 since it most likely won't suceed and you will lose tons of CS and exp.

I believe ignite and flash are the only two options for playing anivia
