read it once, read it twice, save in bookmarks on kindle, create account to comment. I only play supports and when I see my team does not have enough ap/bust damage for me to play Sona, Karma is always the safest pick. She can play nearly every role, never tried her as ad, but apart of that she can fill every role. She is not reliant on her carry + she can watch over the base when other are pushing (something very hard to do as Sona or Taric). Karma gets just better the more I play her, I just always take heal a summoners + E first, hard to not score first blood for your laning partner on my lvl, as I just need too bust shield him once at lvl 1 so he can mop up the kill.
I learned a lot form watching video of Karma players, i.e. HotshotGG, could record one of your plays as well? Pretty please, it would be awesome.

I got 1 question about this guide. I tried this and my first game ended in a lost 7-4-8. But my team was crying alot to me. That I must stop killing creeps and taking kills and stuff like that. And that Karma was useless. Is there something I did wrong? ( sorry for my English )

I'd like to answer your question since Egyptian Lover doesn't seem to be here at all
I play Karma a lot. She's one of my favorite characters because she's very very complicated.

Don't mind them. They lost. their playing style sucks and naturally they blame it on the support. But put it this way, Egyptian Lover did not create a pure support character. He created a damager and support. The bigger the damage Karma does, the better she supports. Naturally, she will get kills. Naturally, she will need minions etc.

You are not playing a FULL support so there's no need to act like one.

Remember, you are a partial support: your strength lies in ur ability to support ur own champion and ur team. When i play Karma, I make it a rule that my team does not die. I make sure that the powerful players in my team get the utmost protection. While doing my support, i actually get kills myself! (because of Karma's Mantra) \

Now if your team is dying, well Karma can live without that much minion kills. Or farming. Give it to a champ who becomes powerful end game. That's the beauty of Egyptian Lover's Karma: Versatility.

Hehe, well I did put a lot of time into it, thank you! That's interesting leveling E first. I can definitely see several merits to that, mantra+shielding your carry to simultaneously deliver damage and let him finish off the kill with the absorption shield. That's clever thinking you've got there! Are you working with someone on skype to coordinate it? And how often do you find yourself giving your carry that first blood? Do tell me more!

I have not read through all the comments, so I don't know if soapbubble replied to this or not (I hope so) but I thought I'd weigh in. I actually just started LoL not long ago (just hit lvl20) so I'm sure my play style and opinions will evolve, but in my experience with Karma so far I'd have to say I level E first as well. I actually usually go something like E-Q-E-Q-E-W because I'm still learning the proper application of the spirit bond, so it doesn't do a ton for me in early laning phase. Anyway, as far as E first goes, I like to do E-Q-E because you can mitigate more damage than you can heal unless your carry is taking a lot (the 5% missing is pretty good then). The thing is, it requires mantra to heal, whereas the shield doesn't require mantra to shield. I like to think of her Q and E as opposite skills. If you think of the shield like a heal (it is temporary of course, but bear with me) then one is a heal with mantra damage and one is damage with mantra heal. Since her damage output isn't amazing early game like your carry's should be, I'd prefer the non-mantra heal.

I will say when laning with Caitlin, if we can beat the other team there, it is rather fun to trap the end of the brush and camp with my mantra shield ready. But that's just me...probably doesn't work at high ELO but for now it's hilarious.

I just wanted to thank you for this guide first off- I've read the whole thing, and Karma is one of my favorite champions, and your build has led me to many victories. I just had one question- have you considered Mejai's on Karma? I've used it a few times when I had a strong bot carry, and having 8 or 9 stacks from assists when team fights break out gives me a lot more AP earlier on. What do you think? Is it viable?
