Dont you think you mix too much AP, AD and tank items. I find it inefficient, there are more suitable options whatever you need, resistance, health etc. For example you pick Maw in an AP build, or Runic in fully tank build. You can just use Abyssal to get resistance as AP. Runic Echoes is quite weak without some extra AP and penetration to scale, Warrior works much better for tank. Especially as AP, items are largely designed to synergy and become quite weak in a non AP build, at the same time inserting non-AP items in such build, nerfs all of them. AD build can offer more independent stand alone items, like Triforce, Gauntlet and Titanic, which offer self-sufficient damage. This lets you insert additional full tank items, which is recommended in Eve case that lack hard CC, dash and wide range.

I think you're right about runic echoes in tank builds because it's pretty much reserved for tanky protobelt based builds. On the other hand, I use Maw as a defensive item in AP builds because of how good the lifeline passive is on Evelynn, which in my opinion works a lot better defensively than the +15 MR you get from Maw, especially against heavy burst damage. The main reason I advocate to run it more often now is because now that the flat armor pen on the item has been swapped out for CDR Evelynn gets universl benefit from the item no matter what statline you go for.

Its true, Maw was buffed for Eve and now its core item for her AD builds, but Abyssal works much better if you build AP, since it scales with Lich Bane, Echoes, penetration, you magic damage...its just how the game is designed, items with same type of stats complement each other, just like attack speed scales with AD etc

What about Rageblade for Hybrid?

I just built this in a game 6.6 patch, and I think the element of surprise with Eve is the most terrifying thing. My new nickname for her with this build is AD Tankleynn It's just fun to say Tankle during the games.

Not RandomMoped, but I once had the same question and found a good video on reddit/summonerschool about the topic, which I can't find the link to now.

I run Vampirism on her to help with her early clear.

You have to kite the camps in such a way that you make sure you are hitting all of them with your Q and with autoattacks while your Q is on cool down.

With a leash:

Krugs:

Line yourself up so you hit them both with Hate Spike when they spawn. Smite the large one. Then move yourself over to the large Krug and focus it with your laners using mix of autos and Q. Your laners will depart once it gets low. Kite it with Qs and autos in such a way that you pull it around the corner toward Red buff. They will line up nicely so you can hit them both with Q and it gets you a little closer to Red so you don't have to run as far.

Red:

Hit the camp with a drive by Q then kite them diagonally away (angled slightly towards the Raptors) from their encampment. Use a mix of Q + AA + Ravage + AA + Q to keep their interest and continually do damage. Once your back is against the wall below their encampent you will hit all three with your Q.

Blue:

Drive by Q then run up toward the river. Stand around where the white flower is on the wall. Q + AA + Ravage + AA + Q until the camp is dead.

Remeber to pop health potions as needed to keep yourself healthy. I start with 3 so I can gank early because Evelynn's early ganks are almost always a guaranteed kill if your laner is even half way competent.

If you've done it right you should have at least 3/4 health, Red and Blue Buff, and plenty of mana.

The weirdest part is simply trying to maintain the interest of the camp with a mix of autos and abilities while kiting them until they are all in a line.

Very useful but I think the new Runic Echo is better on Evelynn.

Very useful guide. Eve is an incredibly flexible character, but I think the full AD build with cleaver replacing warrior late game is my favorie.

Y'know, I was just about to type some huge explanation about how a lot of people buy runeglaive for utility over damage, but with the new AP jungle item coming out it'd be kinda pointless. However, I will look into changing my AD offense build a bit, and spirit visage will certainly be switched in in place of banshees in my hybrid defence build. Also, while my aggressive hybrid build has worked out for me before, after reading what you've had to say I'll proabbly switch out steraks and trinity for gauntlet and maw. Thank you very much for your input, I've read your Evelyn guide too and I think it's very well done. Also about the name, it was more meant to be a play on words of Evelynn and encyclopedia, but with all the builds I have maybe the title works :p

Hello, to tag your guide "encyclopedia" is very brave and hard task, i hope you manage to fulfill it :)
Id like to point out few issues i noticed while scrolling the suggested item builds. As a whole many of them use item synergies that are ultimate and could work on many champs, but that does not make them a good choice since they dont have an exceptional scaling on the champion itself. Concrete issues ill list bellow:
The AD suggestions
Warrior, T. Hydra, Dead Man, Banshee, Sterak- i find the excessive amount of health hard to maintain and not needed on Eve, she has no additional scaling with it, plus this specific build lacks armor. You would have much more effective health if you trade some health for extra armor and ofc in this case T. Hydra will prove useless.
The Hybrid
Warrior, Gunblade, Guinsoo, Triforc, Sterak- no armor or resistance, this will place you especially vulnerable to damage and gunblade reg will barely keep up
Runeglaive, Gunblade, Guinsoo, Dead Man, Banshee- we have very low synergy here, since runeglaive requires AP to be more efficient while Guinsoo favors AD. If you change with warrior, it will prove better, you can also swap Banshee with Spirit Visage which will synergy with Gunblade.
AP
Runeglaive, Rylai, Dead Man, Abyssal, Liandry- just a small adjustment here, switch Dead Man for Frozen hearth. You already have good amount of health so higher armor will raise your efective health, while CDR can be especially good on AP-durability build.
Runeglaive, Dead Man, Rylai, Banshee, Sterak- here the lack of AP cripples runeglaive and at the same time you maintain large health pool, extra armor will work better, which will ofc displace Sterak.
The competitive build- runeglaive, locket, Dead Man, Omen, Banshee- here runeglaive is absolutely useless since you dont have any AP, replacing it with Warrior will give a much better otucome; at least here you did one thing right- your effective health :)
