Introduction

Hi! This is my guide for attack speed Kayle. I would appreciate any constructive criticism so I can make this guide better over time.

Runes

Since we are building a full attack speed item set, it makes sense to back it up with a rune page.

You want to get 9 Greater Mark of Attack Speed to make your attack just that much faster

However, you don't want to leave yourself defenseless, so get 9 Greater Seal of Armor

To help your damage some you want to get 6 Greater Glyph of Ability Power and 3 Greater Glyph of Attack Speed

Finally, finish off with 2 Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed and a Greater Quintessence of Scaling Ability Power

Items

Build Runaan's Hurricane first, as it gives you a big boost in attack speed fairly early, plus it's unique passive. While this is for ranged champions only, Kayle effectively is one while her Righteous Fury is up. Even if you don't use it much (which you should), you still get the 70 point boost to attack speed, which is a great start to the build.

Depending on how well you are doing, you can either get boots or Rabadon's Deathcap. If you are doing well, I suggest the latter, as you will probably have enough to buy it if you are doing well. If you aren't doing so great, the former will give you a small boost for not a lot of gold, which you probably won't have if you are doing badly. Naturally, build the other one after you finish the first one.

Nashor's Tooth is your third item, and it does quite a bit:
  • It gives you a substantial boost in ability power
  • Gives even more attack speed
  • Gives cooldown reduction, which is good for your Righteous Fury that you should be spamming by this point

Phantom Dancer will give you extra attack and movement speed, combined with critical strike chance and it's unique passive that lets you basically ignore minions, your targets won't be able to escape.

And finally, Lich Bane will give you more movement speed and more damage, so you can chase down slippery champions.

Skill Sequence and Summoner Spells

  • For skills, max your Righteous Fury first, for more range and firing power.
  • Next max your Reckoning for burst damage that slows, allowing more time to get a potential kill.
  • And of course, get Intervention whenever it becomes available (levels 6, 11, and 16).

For Summoner Spells, Flash is a must-have, as it can be used at a gap closer or widener, depending on your situation.

Ignite is especially useful early and mid game, as it allows you to get kills from beyond the dead, or when it seems enemies have already escaped, if you use it at the right time.
