I was pretty skeptical about half-building items before completing them, especially something like Rod of Ages, but I must say your build/guide worked perfectly. I will be using it from now on!

cool guide i played with fizz the last week for the first time..and owned tottaly with him 22/0/6 :D and he is the best champ for me! people saeyed too me that this champ is perfect for me i always get kills :D but i wanted too ask what can i do vs cait ...she is so annoyin because of here range.. and i just buy those recommended items for fizz but still she takes alot of damage and fizz hase low hp :S can i buy too some health stuff and armor ?

WOW. This is a tough question. There are so many answers. I'll try to summarise them in the shortest form as possible. Sometimes, it's not about the items. It's also about the champion itself. Fizz is melee and Caitlyn is very far ranged. You can already see the disadvantage here. Fizz doesn't really have something like Akali's Q to throw with, so farming or harass can be hard too. Sometimes, you really just have no choice but to change a lane, or play safe and ask ur teammates to gank for you. Sometimes, it's not about the disadvantages but the skill level. It takes practise but u can learn how to scare people into not extending their lane. If you successfully scare cait early game, then she might actually change lane or just farm lesser, which is to your advantage. In other times, it could also be the items. You can buy the armor part of Zhonya's first, or you can get an early doran's shield etc... If you're dying too much to cait, maybe even a Guardian Angel. It depends. Test out the different items.
The best way to take over cait is definitely to overpower her though, because she already has the strongest ad damage, so you must make sure your burst will finish her in seconds. In my opinion, building too much health just extends your life by a few seconds if you face against cait but not have enough power to kill her with your extended health, so it makes no sense to go tanky much. You might want to get AP glyphs etcetera to gain the upper edge in power, so when u harass her early game, you eat up so much of her HP that she is too scared to bother you. Get a teammate to take middle lane with you until she can't do anything and you might just gain the upper edge. Think about it! :D

After some more playtesting of your build I have two important questions for you:

1) Would it make more sense to complete Rod of Ages before the Needlessly Large Rod because Rod of Ages takes time (15 mins?) to build up? so you would see more benefits when you pick up the needless after completing the rod because of charges than if you completed it before the rod?

2) In terms of skill sequence, would it make more sense to level up urchin strike, then focus more on playful/trickster and save the W for last? The reasons I think of for this are cooldown reduction on Q and E, mentality of the "burst" dmg as you will see more burst from a stronger E rather than a stronger W, and the escape/farming capabilities of E.

went 20/5/16 with this(changed up some item ordering). we lost the game due to feeder bottom/mid but i walked out with enemy team saying i was rly good. it made me feel great. your guide is rly good .thanks for making it.i recommend this to anyone wanting to play fizz ^_^

Not insulting your build or anything man, but Fizz is way too over powered now, I mean I play the guy lots cause he's fun and all, but the damage he does early-mid game makes it significantly difficult to not die against an enemy fizz. I am a decent player I'd like to think, but the time where I can get 25-3 and 35-5 is just ridiculous, obviously in cases like this Mejai's is a defo, the cooldown reduction at 20 stacks is also useful. Anyway, more onto the aspect of his power, Lichbane makes Fizz that edge of overpowered, having around 1.7 AP ratio + your W is silly, dealing 2000-2500 damage in one dash, makes it impossible to tank. I believe a suitable nerf for fizz is maybe making his Q not apply on-hit affects, it's just too much damage. Thank you for reading, I can tell why the items will be useful, but I'm a daring bugger and get all AP items, unless it's Yi and trynd then I get the zhonya's. Never like the idea of being immobile while being the most mobile champion in the game (My opinion).
