Not Updated For Current Season
Hey everyone. I was looking at shen guides and not one of them was how i play him. I thought i would share my thoughts and how i play him. With this build i usually do fairly well, my scores are around 3-1-15 <---stuff like that. Dont Expect to get many kills at all unless you try to last hit with vorpal blade.
Start out with a dorans sheild because its an amazing first item. Then on your first return buy boots of speed with a Ruby Crystal. The moment you get enough money go upgrade that into Leviathan. Your goal isnt to get kills just to make sure the people die. Help your teams carry gank and watch for when your ult could be used to turn a battle around. If you ult you get assists on everyone that dies by that persons hand.
When Laneing make sure to last hit with vorpal blade. Last hitting is an important part to any match. Vorpal Blade is also an amazing harassing tool. Also if you dash at them hit them with your passive and then throw your Blade is a nice combo to make them afraid and low health for your laneing partner to come in and finish them.
Also Ninja Tabi should be replaced with merc treads if they have lots of stuns/ CC, I have seen some Shens with Boots of Swiftness but i think that is just unnecessary since we have ghost.
I choose Teleport and Ghost because Teleport to get to anywhere that needs help plus ult equals lots of map control. Ghost to get in range of a fleeing enemy to taunt them and your team can then destroy them.
The runes i have are basic shen runes. Magic pen for the bonus dmg it provides. With your passive and Vorpal Blade. Dodge rating so when they taunt onto you, you have a chance to dodge it is always nice. Cooldown reduction because i love being able to spam. Quins of health because who doesnt want more life?
I hope this helps you all :) i have lots of fun playing as shen like this.
