Morde es #1

Hello everyone my names is JobHandGiver and welcome to my guide. I am making this build because I have played Mord the most out of any champion for the past 2 years and he is amazing. This will be a small disclaimer to this build before I start getting *****ed at for it. This build is not the optimal way to build Mordekaiser. Because it does rely heavily on mejais stacks. But what this is, is a really fun build that if you get going is very hard to stop and very damage heavy. Just like the old Mord and in some ways stronger but with a bit more risk. The main reason for creating this build was because I was bored of building Mordekaiser the standard WotA, Rylais, Abyssal etc. While that's a great way to build Mordekaiser it just was just getting stale. Anyway I'll describe my choices below.

Please enjoy some music as you read

Runes

This is a pretty standard setup for Mordekaiser.

9x Magic Pen marks for damage

9x Flat Armor seals for defense

9x Ability/Magic Resist per level glyphs for damage/defense. Your preference.

3x Flat Ability Power quints for good early damage

Pros/Cons

Pros:
* Strong Pusher/Farmer
*Amazing late game champion especially with this build if done right.
*High Burst and good AoE damage
*Turns fights into 6v4

Cons:
*No CC
*No escape except summoner spells
*Easily focused down/kiteable by ranged champs
*Ultimate countered by QSS.

Masteries

As for the masteries I like taking 21/9/0. The reason is I just really like damage and so does the Master of Hue. I mean there are other ways you could go. 9/21/0 isn't bad if you need to be a bit beefier. 9/0/21 isn't bad for the utility. I recommend the last 2 to newcomers to Mord just because it will help you survive in lane. I'm not trying to boast but I'm very comfortable with Mordekaiser in lane which is why I like the extra damage. In all honesty I would recommend another build for newcomers but hey, if you want to use this fine by me.

Skill Sequence

As for skill order it goes R>E>W>Q.

*R is self explanitory

*E your bread and butter skill as Mord. Great spammable AoE ranged harass skill.

*W Gives decent constant AoE damage as well as some resistances.

*Q More AoE. But is also a great single target burst skill.

Summoner Spells

As for summoner spells I always take Ghost/Ignite. If you like flash take it I'm not stopping you, I just prefer ghost because I've used it for as long as I can remember on Morde. But ignite is a must. combined with your Ult it's just an amazing combo.

Items

This is the fun part.

Early game I take Regrowth pendant to keep me healed from the use of my skills, and later build into a philosopher stone. The reason I do this is because I won't be getting a hextech revolver as is the norm. Because it would slow my build progression too much. Plus the GP5 is nice.

After this I build Heart of Gold and Sorcerers boots. This gives me more health, gold and damage. If need be grab some potions to keep yourself in lane as long as possible.

Once I have enough gold I get Mejai's and Guardian Angel. My reasoning behind this is fairly simple. If your good with Mordekaiser you should be getting a decent amount of kills or at the least, assists. Once you have those stacks you're going to want to keep them, here enters the guardian angel. If you're smart and careful you should reach these items fairly quickly with the way Mord can farm. As well as have a decent amount of stacks to make Mejais worth the gold. AKA about 8 stacks.

By Mid to Late game you should have Sorcerers boots, Guardian Angel, Mejais, and either Rylais Crystal Scepter or Rabadons Death Cap. If you need a bit more tankiness or kills are slipping away get Rylais. If you have the money and you have people around you with good cc get Death cap for awesome damage.

By late game you can get whatever you want really I like Warmogs which I never would have touched before on Mord but somewhat like it now just to add some beef to Morde at the end making him close to impossible to kill.

As I said this build is definitely risky but if done right you are just like the old morde and just Stupidly hard to kill with mass amount of damage.

Just some quick numbers as too how much AP and Health I have at the end since it doesn't calculate stacks.

I end games with 600 AP and 3.7-4k health with Warmogs and about 800 AP with 2.5k health with WotA. As well as that beautiful revive from guardians. As I said if the enemy team makes the mistake of feeding you, you can punish them heavily endgame with this build.
