Hi, thanks for the guide.

Here is something I don't understand about his masteries:
Most Gragas players get Double Edged Sword, but I think of Gragas more as a tank jungler, and it makes him receive more damage. Wouldn't Battle Trance be better, because it gives you the same damage after some delay?

Either of those masteries work fine. It is just a matter of personal preference.

Why max Q instead of E? The jungle clear will be a bit slower, but your fight potential is way stronger. I mean, Lv. 9 with rushed CDR you get a 4.2 cooldown on E and more dmg since Q need 2 second to do max dmg. You should also build gargoil instead of GA, you proc it before the stun and get a 2k shield from COC and double your Passive heal + the armor/mr.

While maxing Body Slam is not a bad idea on paper, maxing Barrel Roll will significantly help with clear speed while doing just as well in most standard gank situations. Body Slam's reduced cooldown is a lot more important when you start to build your tank items after Enchantment: Runic Echoes as you will be durable enough to survive to get multiple Body Slams off.

You are absolutely right about Gargoyle Stoneplate. It is a very strong item that essentially has replaced Guardian Angel in most scenarios with the recent changes. It is a very potent item after buying at least one other tank item.

first thought was "wtf are those runes, i have to waste a rune page just to dedicate it to one champ?"
but it's not stupid if it works. and it works like a charm. thank you for this.

Well, this guide is kinda outdated. But luckily Gragas didn't change that much since the last season and your guide is still very helpful. Thanks for your work and I would be glad to see an update.

Nice guide, you should mention the alternative Cinderhulk item build. If **** is real at top lane or u need a tank in ur team you can go Cinderhult and an Abysal or Zhonyas (depends on enemy team). Nice guide boy.
