In most cases I use two 'Void Staffs' Instead of the 'Zhonya's ring' for the extremely high magic penetration. Also, I make sure to get the book last because you will need those spots to fill out the item/slot requirements. Then just straight up buy the book at the end. Typically, I start with 'philosopher stone' at the beginning, however this interface doesn't let me tell when to 'sell' items. I start with getting the Stone, while on the way I get 2-health potions to start with. You sell off the stone the moment you get your arch staff.

Also, I like to use teleport/Ignite. This lets me bounce over and provide support to my 'feeder team-mates -_-...' while also making quick trips back from recall. I also favor mana regen over the standard health glyphs, Malzy can just control the zone far too easily with use of null zone. Furthermore, the reason I get call of the void at the end (something that may raise a lot of brow) however, I like the subtle uses of combining both null zone and visions at first. By getting null-zone up extremely early if you visions/null-zone and cast nether grasp while they are still in the Null zone your almost guaranteed the kill.
