The Poro King
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Threats to Braum with this build
|Blitzcrank||If blitz pulls you, its game over for his ADC. If he pulls your ADC, just W to them and throw up your door, er, shield.|
The Poro King returneth! Season 6 is upon us, and Braum is back in action.
Braum is a dominant laner, who excels at peeling for carries and sopping up tons of damage.
You are going to be taking a lot of the damage for your team, ideally.
Braum does not realize his true potential until post level 6, so unless your'e up against a very aggressive lane, the scaling seals seem to be better. You can choose flat health if you are fearful of early engages.
Pretty obvious, you want to be as tanky as possible. There are a plethora of AP heavy supports, and these help you to sustain in lane through their poke.
Pretty much a broken record at this point but... YOU ARE A TANK!
With the new season here, masteries have been reworked, yet again.
Taking 18 points in resolve, in order to tank as much damage as possible for your team. I opted for the Explorer mastery, so that Braum can take advantage of roaming mid whenever possible.
I believe these masteries will be fairly standard for most tanky supports, and the 12 points in the cunning tree give Braum some more sustain, and the biscuits (as always) are super nice for retaining mana.
Braum should be building all tank items. I think that the new Oracle Alteration is better than the standard sweeper, however the item was not available to put up on the actual build, so here is a picture:
Pretty standard for Braum, his Q is his main tool for both dealing damage and providing consistent CC.
Braum's W is mostly utilized for moving around the Rift, and so it does not take priority.
Unbreakable is a key tool for Braum to survive, and to keep his teammates alive and well. Remember that it also gives you a minor movement speed buff, allowing you to either chase or escape faster.
R is a terrific ability in team fights, as it knocks up champions both around Braum and in a straight line. It also leaves an area of slow for a few seconds, making it very effective in choke points throughout the jungle.
Exhaust is perfect for chasing kills or saving your team. One person should always have exhaust, WHY NOT BRAUM!?
You can also opt for Ignite if you want to play aggressively.
Flash is needed. It is always needed.
Pros / Cons
-Needs Team in Order to be Effective
Remember to use that Targons to heal up your lane partner!
Use a combination of W and E to win trades easily.
Layering CC is very important for Braum. You should utilize your passive along with your Q in team fights to put stuns out on multiple champions.
