Olaf has been one of my favorite champions for a while now, he is simply fun to play while being one of the most balanced characters in the game.

A lot of guides out there shun many things I recommend in this guide, but we'll discuss that later.

First off, you must jungle. (One of the highly debated topics of Olaf). It is simply required. Olaf does not have enough lane presence early on, and can be ganked easily before level 6.

As Olaf, you are one of the most versatile junglers in the game. You can start at any camp. I prefer to stick to the standard of golem (as in the blue buff) and then to work your way across. If I am not with competent team however, I will start at mini golems > Wraiths > Mini wolves > Blue buff > Red Buff.

Olaf is a fast enough jungler to maintain the same level as a side lane, a gank at level 4 is fairly common. Try your best to hit your undertow on your target, it will help you maintain a slow on your target as they race back to their tower.

The moment you get wriggle's you can do dragon, or if ganks don't pan out, with madred's at level 6 or level 5 with blue buff. Remember that you are the jungler and to buy wards. Put a pink ward at dragon/baron while green warding + wriggle's at the jungle buffs (Golem and Lizard). In my experiences I have only needed to buy 7 green wards and 2 pink wards a game to maintain good map coverage.

Though it seems like an odd piece of advice, I recommend you play other junglers. It is great to know when a champion typically finishes his route and with that knowledge you can approximate his position.

As the game wears on you will get your frozen mallet. This is the second point of discussion in Olaf guides. I believe it is required. It gives an amazing amount of health in the mid game. The slow effect also lets you keep champions in smacking distance.

In teamfights you want to rush their carry, if their carry isn't hitting anyone, you will win that game. In the defensive build, you actually want them to use exhaust on you. It seems odd but, if you are getting exhausted, your carry is not. Be sure to drop Randuin's as much as possible, it can really decide the outcome of a teamfight. Also be sure to build to counter the enemy team. Going against heavy AP? Banshee's. AD? Randuin's. Quick Silver Sash is also a nice supplement if the other team is Exhaust heavy. Frozen Heart, Guardian Angel, and Thornmail are all viable options, but Randuin's simply gives the stats that help Olaf the most.

I will more than likely add on more to this so check back in.
