I love this build. I just signed up at Mobafire so I could thank you for this Trundle build. I've been extremely disappointed with all the other Trundle builds available and as soon as I figure out how to vote that this is awesome, I'll do so so that you get props

I think this build works very well.. first time I wan t 10/4/8 second match i went /13/5/9..... also pay no attention to Murdakai first off where as he facts about cleaver is correct, but if you actually watch the spotlight.... they first off all him a tanky dps... then at the end.. they said .... if you want to play a dps with unique utilities look no further than trundle...... sooo.. id say he is amore a dps than tank.. ( just cause he can steal armor and use it doens't mean he is a tank.. .. just a bulky dps.)

I wrote BIG replay for u post, answering for every point of ur previous post but i got log off and it gone lost.
I wont write it again, just will rewrite main sense of it.

U can make tank from EVERY champion if u buy tank items and set def masteries. IMO Troll's abilities ARE for dps and are great against tanks. If u consider them tanky.. well thats strage for me (I prefere using them for attack insted of running away), but its ur choice ;p

Q, reduces a targets damage and does some damage - Off tank

W, chase/AS/CC increase; its like taking irelia's passive (survivability), xin zhao's AS buff (tough dps), and merc treads (survivability) and combining them - Tough Off tank with high dps, like mundo

E, CC, used to Escape, chase, prevent a jungle KS, or to help a team mate from being crushed - Main tank

R, steals armor and MR so your carries can nuke the tank and makes you unkillable - Main tank


So how are these actually dps abilities? All champions have the ability to do damage, just because he has a small amount of it does not mean he is a carry. At most you should be getting a ton of assists because Trundle's E ability alone gets him that. If you are getting kills with trundle you are crippling your carries and will eventually lose.

I watched the spotlight, now u watch his abilities ;) theese are not tank abilities

1. Black cleaver reduces the targets armor and therefore reduces your armor gain from the ult, bad idea. Last whisper however is nice because it gives you ArP instead.

2. Berserkers greaves is not needed because a) trundle is NOT a dps, hes an offtank b) he has amazing AS and CC reduc while in contaminate so either a tabi or swiftness would be better for survivability

3. Masteries - refer to 2, 0-19-11 is a much better choice for this champion taking 3 points in Meditation because of his awful mana inefficiency

4. AD runes? Flat AD runes are kinda nice of early game, but quickly become less useful end game, per level AD is completely useless as you can easily find theory crafting on why ArP is better than AD

5. If you actually do think this guy is a dps moreso than a tank he should be build near exactly like Poppy, her Q is basically on the same CD as Trundle's Q. Therefore he should be getting Tri-F

6. Trundle's AS isn't high enough for Madreds to be viable, that is an item for a WW, Yi, Shaco, or Teemo

In the end, Riot made this character to be an offtank (watch the spotlight). He is most similar to singed, mundo, and nasus because of his slows, speed boosts, and his effectiveness to kill Main tanks.

I would say that your damage is lacking early game. Yeah you added Sword of the Occult but that is a a risky item to get. All it takes is 1-3 deaths and your damage is nothing again.

The Black Clever is pretty nice actually and I can't believe I didn't input it into my build.

I think the Last Whisper would be a much better item than Madred's Bloodrazor because of the even further armor reduction.

Its a good guide but it seems like it needs room for improvement.
