Beta BLUE NID SPLIT TOP!!
Not Updated For Current Season
Hey the names ZEZUMBAJI! This is my first guide, and thank you all for your support! I've been watching streams lately and I came across Dubplicata who uses this exact build. So, for all you Nidalee fans come give my build a try and leave a like if it worked for you! PEACE
Blue NID Pros/Cons
Arguably the best siege champ in the game.
Great at sustain as well as attack speed buff.
"Vision" through her traps.
Great Healing sustain
You cant run from her with this build!
Arguably the best tower pusher in the Game
EPIC HEADHUNTER SKIN
Low kill potential in lane.
Fragile and hard to come back from poor early game.
Hard to master
Good until level 6 (cat Form)
Smart casting is necessary on Nidalee. While playing the champion you must spam your'e keys.
To set your smart cast bindings, just visit the settings menu (in-game) then click KEY BINDINGs
Moving through bushes increases Nidalee's movement speed by 15%. The buff lasts for an additional 2 seconds after leaving a bush.
This is a very good passive that isn't used that much in the mid lane except when roaming. It allows you to traverse between lanes very quickly and make escapes that you normally would not be able to make.
Javelin Toss / Takedown
Javelin Toss: While in Human Form, Nidalee tosses her javelin, dealing magic damage on impact that increases depending on the distance between Nidalee and the target at the time it is hit. The multiplier caps at 2.5.
Takedown: While in Cougar Form, Nidalee's next attack will be enhanced to deal additional physical damage plus increased damage based on how low her opponents health is to a maximum of 300% physical damage.
Javelin Toss is Nidalee's signature moves. It allows for insane pick-offs and is the main reason as to why her sieging is such god-tier. You can use it in lane for harass and to last hit minions that would otherwise be unsafe to last hit. Try and abuse angles with the fog of war to catch your enemies off guard.
Using corners where the opponent does not have vision will make it much more difficult for them to dodge them. When sieging towers, try and have at least one side pink-warded to allow you to throw spears from the shadows. Lastly, try and walk/pounce away from the direction you threw the spear to increase the damage it does. The damage it causes increases with distance (up to a point) so this is a good habit to have. You can be really cute and go into cougar form and pounce backwards for maximum damage.
Nothing really to explain here about Takedown except to use it to finish your cougar combo because it does more damage the lower health the target is. You can use this ability to help you last hit and also build up tear stacks in lane.
Bushwhack / Pounce
Bushwhack: While in Human Form, Nidalee lays a trap that deals magic damage over 2 seconds when sprung by an enemy, revealing them and reducing their armor and magic resistance for 12 seconds. Traps last for 4 minutes.
Pounce: While in Cougar Form, Nidalee lunges forward, dealing magic damage to enemies around her landing area.
Nidalee's most overlooked human form ability but it is very, very underrated. At max rank, it reduces the target's armor/mr by 40%. 40%! That is insane! That is more than both a last whisper and void staff's reduction. Plop these down early game in bushes to help prevent invades/ganks and use them late game for damage/vision. Put them in chokes where people have to walk over them and you can throw them down near your ad carry in team fights to force tanks to walk over them.
Pounce is Nidalee's signature cougar form move that allows here to roam around the map freely as well as traverse over certain walls. Some walls are much more difficult than others, but a master Nidalee player can do them all consistently. I suggest practicing more difficult ones in custom games to gain your confidence and consistency to allow you to do them without error under the pressure of a match.
Primal Surge / Swipe
Primal Surge: While in Human Form, Nidalee heals an ally champion and grants them bonus attack speed for 7 seconds.
Swipe: While in Cougar Form, Nidalee claws at enemies in a cone in front of her, dealing magic damage.
Primal Surge is an extremely strong move and the second reason as to why Nidalee's sieging is such terror. It provides insane sustain and with max CDR, it allows you to always have the attack speed buff on your AD Carry if you spam it on them. It also allows her laning phase to become insanely strong once she gets a blue buff as she can spam Primal Surge without worry which allows harass to do nearly nothing to her. Burst becomes her own weakness. Use this spell on your AD Carry before the fight begins and when it is off cooldown, if there is not a priority target that needs it, plop it back down on your ad carry again for more damage. Don't only use it for the healing aspect. The attack speed is buff to your ad carry is arguably more important in most situations.
Swipe is a very strong move that had its AP ratio buffed recently. It allows you to clear mid-wave fairly quickly, allowing Nidalee the option to spend a lot of time roaming. Remember that it is in a cone in front of you so you can position it accordingly to hit multiple targets in team fights!
Aspect Of The Cougar
Nidalee transforms herself into a cougar, and in the process gaining a new set of abilities and 20 movement speed.
Nidalee loses 400 range while using this ability.
One of the best “ultimates” in the game as it gives Nidalee an entirely new skill set and an incredible amount of mobility. It was recently nerfed to take off the passive armor/mr so the player must be much more careful when using it in team fights. If you are building straight up AP, you will be very, very squishy and thus vulnerable to dying. Use this to move around the map very quickly as well as chase down targets.
