Welcome to my Season 5 Fiora guide! Fiora used to be a very bursty fighter who doubled as an assassin who went to the front lines and destroyed squishies without any front line to stop her. Since her (Flash, Burst of Speed (E), Lunge (Q), Lunge (Q), and annihilating them with Blade Waltz (R),
Fiora contributes more to her team and requires more skill, where she is trading raw damage for sustain and more teamplay. Before, Fiora's job was to go all in as an assassin, take out the enemy squishies, and take them out before returning to auto-attack the mess out of the rest of the team. In the midst of ****tons of CC and the GA's, Fiora's mid and late game were... Meh. In the next few Chapters of this guide, I will show you how to use Fiora efficiently and effectively.
Skip if you know Fiora's kit already
Before, Fiora's passive in my opinion was utterly useless. It required trades to work or to keep constantly hitting minions. (The passive is duelist, where Fiora regenerates Health over 6 seconds each time she deals damage. Striking champions will cause this effect to stack up to 4 times.)
Now, Fiora's passive is Duelist's DanceWhere Fiora deals 3 [+0.27-0.45 (scales with level)]% of the target’s maximum Health as bonus true damage for that attack, receives a 20% [30/40/50% with ranks in R] bonus Movement Speed and restores 20 [+6 per level] Health. Fiora reveals a new weak spot whenever she attacks one, or when a moderate period of time passes without it being attacked.
Before, Fiora's Q was Lunge (Still is)
A mechanically simple skill of which Fiora could lunge at an enemy, and lunge at an enemy once more within 4 seconds at no mana cost.
This wasn't necessarily a bad skill since it would help Fiora stick onto flashing enemies and such, but offer no terms of escaping. Ride or die.
Now, Fiora's Q (Still Lunge)
Is quite different.
Fiora's Q now lunges in a target direction, adding on-hit effects... Quite bad against Jax,but adding much much more utility. Such as now, Fiora dash in any direction she desires, and can even dash over terrain quite easily, and can dash through opponents so she can proc that passive quite easily.
Fiora's Old W was quite simple. (Still called Riposte)
The active of this was if an enemy auto attacked Fiora, she would parry it dealing magic damage back, but that wasn't the best part.
The passive of this active was that Fiora gained attack damage, upgrading it to its max would give Fiora +35 AD
The new Fiora W is quite different and requires split second reflexes and also requires reading your opponent to use effectively. In this ability, Fiora goes into a parry stance for .75 seconds at all ranks, parrying all hard cc and damage. At the end of the parry stance, Fiora slows and deals damage to all units within her skillshot... if Fiora is hit with hard cc, she instead stuns her opponents instead of slowing them, very useful.
The old Fiora E was quite simple (Burst of Speed)
For every AA or Lunge she lands during Burst of Speed's duration, she also gained 7-15% movement speed based on rank level. Not only that, Fiora also gained 60%-120% attack speed for 3 seconds. It's like a Xin Zhao W passive without the health bonus, but with a movement speed bonus instead.
The new Fiora E is quite different and very simple, in my opinion, is a nerf.
Fiora gains attack speed for her next two basic attacks. The first basic attack slows but cannot crit, but the next basic attack will always crits. Very simple
And the old Fiora move that made her absolutely ******** was her R (Blade Waltz)
In this move, Fiora would dance around her target, or multiple enemy champions if they were near by, becoming untargetable and dealing ******** damage to squishies.
The new Fiora R (Grand Challenge) is much much more different, the most difference in her old kit and her new one. Grand Challenge targets an enemy champion and Fiora gains movement speed for the duration, lasting 8 seconds. Fiora has to hit all for sides of her opponent or kill them before creating a large re-generating health space for her and her allies. Think of it as this. If Fiora hits all four sides of her opponent's weak sides, or if Fiora kills her opponent, she creates a Janna ult that cannot be interrupted but does not knock enemies away.
Pros / Cons
Not so bursty
Requires tons of reflexes
With Fiora, the main team ability she has is to regen her teammates HP, giving her teammates a huge advantage. When you go ult an enemy, make sure to intentionally killsteal or ask your teammates to get the kill so you an can contribute from Fiora's ultimate.
