Introduction

Welcome to my tanky mage Cassiopeia build. I'm danzkiller14, a nobody, who loves to experiment champion builds. With no more further adieu, let's start.

Cassiopeia is a terrifying creature - half woman, half snake - whose slightest glance brings death. The youngest daughter of one of Noxus' most influential families, she was once a beautiful and cunning temptress capable of manipulating the hardest heart. Transformed by the venom of an ancient Shuriman tomb guardian, she continues to serve Noxian interests as she always has, just in a more... visceral way.

Pros / Cons

PROS:

    Highest DPS in game
    Strong 1v1
    Great utility, especially the ULT
    Extremely rewarding if mastered

CONS:
    Very squishy
    No escape
    Requires great positioning
    Mana issues

Cassiopeia is a very active mage champion relying on positioning and quick hands to reach her full potency. Her mechanics revolves around the use of poison, her weapon of choice, dealing damage per second (DPS). She's like Teemo but sassier. She's one of the hardest champions to use but if played with mastery, she can put out the highest single target DPS in the game. She is known for her utility and sustainability. She's one of the underrated champions in League of Legends because of her non-burst skills.

Cassiopeia is one of the weirdest champions in League of Legends. Why? It is because of her mechanics, a mage that works like an ADC. She is dependent on her E,, which is a highly low-cooldown skill, to kill her victims. And to achieve the highest damage possible, her E requires poison provided by her Q and W, and , to provide additional damage. With the right use of he ULT, , she can turn the table of game around. This makes her a great utility of her team. When played as Cassiopeia, one thing you'll do is to drop the enemy's health low. This requires spamming of her and . Cassiopeia is a really squishy champion without any escape tool, aside the summoner spell Flash. This makes her the top priority of the enemy.

Skills

Serpentine Grace

Her passive is Serpentine Grace. Cassiopeia gains Movement Speed per level, but she cannot purchase Boots items. This makes room for another item in our build for offensive or defensive purposes.

Noxious Blast

Cassiopeia blasts an area with Poison after a brief delay, granting her increased Movement Speed if she hits an enemy champion.

Her Q is one of her early harassing skills because of its low cooldown. Use this to make your enemies regret opposing you by making his life a living hell. This also serves as an chasing and dodging tool, granting her 30/35/40/45/50% Movement Speed which decays

Miasma

Cassiopeia releases several clouds of poison, slowing, grounding, and lightly damaging enemies that pass through them. Grounded enemies cannot use Movement abilities.

Her W has a unique effect, it has a grounding effect. Grounded enemies cannot use Movement abilities such as Flash, or Katarina's

Twin Fang

Cassiopeia lets loose an attack that deals increased damage to Poisoned targets and heals her for a percentage of the damage dealt. If the target dies from this attack, Cassiopeia regains Mana.

Her E is also her early spamming skills due to its low cooldown. This also deals additional damage if used against poisoned enemies, providing 10/40/70/100/130 (+35% Ability Power) additional magic damage and heals her for 5-22 ( 1 - 18 level)(+ 10% of Ability Power).

Petrifying Grace

Cassiopeia releases a swirl of magical energy from her eyes, stunning any enemies in front of her that are facing her and slowing any others with their back turned.

Her R is her utility spell providing stun and slow depending on where her enemies are facing.

Stunned if they are facing her.
Slowed if not.

Items

Since we are trying to build Cassiopeia as a tanky mage, we are focusing on health, mana, magic resistance and armor for her tankiness without sacrificing ability power.

Your build on Cassiopeia depends on what champion you are facing.

Ability Power - Based Enemies:

Abyssal Scepter

This provides Ability Power, Magic Resistance and 10% Cooldown Reduction great for spamming. This also has unique aura which reduces the Magic Resistance of any nearby enemies by 10-25. This amplifies the damage dealt by Cassiopeia.

Spirit Visage:

This provides Health, Magic Resistance and 10% Cooldown Reduction. It also has a unique passive which increases all healing received by 25%. Therefore we will receive 125% of our normal healing.

Guardian Angel:

This is great at sustaining and remaining in the game longer by providing Armor and Magic Resistance. It has a unique passive which makes your champion able to revive after death.

Banshee's Veil:

This provides Health and Magic Resistance. It also has unique passive which acts as a spell shield, making you immune from a single ability skill used in you.

Attack Damage - Based Enemies

Zhonya's Hourglass:

This provides Ability Power and Armor. It has a unique active which makes you invulnerable and untargetable but unable you to move. This is great to dodge any skill that could cost your life.

Health and Mana:

Rod of Ages:

This provides Ability Power, Health and Mana. Tnis also has unique passive, gaining health as we spend mana and gaining mana as we receive damage.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter:

This provides Health and Ability Power. It also has a unique passive which makes your ability skills inflict ice which slows down you enemies. This is great at chasing and setting your enemies.

These items makes Cassiopeia tanky and sustainable, making her survive the game longer while making her deadly.

The best way to survive longer in the game especially during team fights is to continuously use abilities especially thewhich is a great way of self-healing which will be amplified by the and . We need to abuse our only if our enemies are poisoned because only at this point we can receive health from our Twin Fang.
