Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
The Shadow of Death
In this build I focus on jungleing and carrying the team to victory. You will be able to 1v1 just about any champ out there and be awesome at ganking. When this champ was released I was so excited to play him for the first time I just fell in love. I led my team to victory going 11-2-21 in the end.
For runes I decided to go with Health Quint's for that extra health needed to kill Blue Golem at lvl 1, AS Marks to help out with his passive, Armor Seals to help jungle early game with, and Magic resist Glyphs to help survive while ganking early game.
I went pretty standard 21/0/9 Taking improved smite and taking points out of Brute force and adding them to Offensive Mastery to help out with early game jungleing.
Looking at the item build I tried to add as much damage as I could since he is a carry. "Well Dark He seems to squishy!" This is sort of true but you will not be in middle of most team fights your job is to gank people in the jungle, in the river, and in the lanes when they are stupid enough to go anywhere alone. Wards, Wards, Wards.. I can not stress this enough! With your ult the more of the map you can see. The more noobs you can gank that go out alone. Plus with all the life steal I have included you shouldn't have to worry too much about dying.
Smite of coarse, lets face it. Unless you are WW, If your a jungler you need smite to work effectively.
Ghost. To simply put it. Early game ganks, and getting away from being ganked Ghost is Key, Plus it works awesome with your Q ability.
Creeping / Jungling
To jungle I start at the blue golem, I play on teams alot so I usually have whomever is midding attack the blue golem from across the wall to kite the golem to the bushes and allow me to get that extra damage on him without bieng attacked. Finish off the golem and his minions and head to wolf camp you should have 300 health before you attack the wolves. Kill them and head to wraiths pop another pot and kill them. If you have more than 400 health and have a pot in reserve then position yourself in the middle of the lizzard and his 2 minions and kill them If you are below 400 health but still have a pot proceed to the 2 golems. DO NOT attack the golems or the lizzard if you are below 300 health. You will Die. B back to base, and pick up your boots and a few more health pots and proceed to jungle. If there is no enemy jungler head to the enemy blue buff and get their blue buff then head to a lane to gank. Hope this guide helped a little. I have been seeing lots of New Nocturne's Dieing to minions in the jungle lately.
VERY IMPORTANT! If you are not ganking or in the jungle farming then you are wrong! As a jungler you can not just sit idle in a bush and wait for a gank. Especially with an ult that can make you dash almost halfway across the map. Farm your jungle, the enemy's jungle when its safe, and when you gank a lane, help clear the minion wave that is there just for the extra gold.
Well guys, Hope you liked my guide. This is my first guide so please be gentle. Happy hunting summoners!
