Great guide, but what about laning against Garen?

just curious with the volibear patch coming out tomorrow, i currently only have 1500 ip but i am heavily debating wether i should get rumble asap or get voli and try him out, anyone who gets voli tomorrow please give some feedback on him, and im open to suggestions , thanks for the awesome informative build too :) +1 from me

I had a very difficult time when i first started playing LoL, could not find a character to play with to save my life. I was looking for a character to play and i found this guide and ive been playing rumble ever since, Making everyone say Rumble OP!!! ive been using a small variation to your build but this is by far the best rumble guide i have ever seen couldnt have ever won a game without it thank you!! :D

I've used your guide since I started, and I wanted to thank you for sharing such a nice guide.

@ sinjustice: This is a great guide! But I wonder what you think of starting with boots and health potions? You don't have regen like you do with your recommended start items, but the health potions should compensate, and I really love having the movement speed to run in and out of the creep waves farming, and to poke and so on. With my MS quints, I practically start the game with tier 2 boots! <3

Speaking of poking, could you explain why you don't take the harpoons at level 1? I know the flamethrower is incredibly good for farming, but if I'm up against ranged foes I always take the harpoons first to have a decent attack/defense/counterattack at level 1. I do miss having the flamethrower until I hit level 2, but I feel it's worth it.

And why do you recommend Sunfire over Randuin? I get that Sunfire does damage, but if you build Abyssal instead of Force of Nature, Randuin's regen is pretty nice. And it gives almost as much health and has its ability and only costs like 400 more.

For my final question, have you considered taking the summoner spell Surge? Seems like the attack speed would go nicely with his Overheat passive, and of course the AP bonus.

Amazing guide! I went 26/2/19 solo top vs gangplank and leona. The 9/21/0 masteries work great! I got the full build "recommended build 1". I could easily 1v2 trough the whole game.

You're guide is pretty nice but I have to disagree with you on the Swain paragraph. This guy's ultimate is tooooo OP. I once laned mid against a Swain. I was playing as Brand. Before level 6 I owned his ***, out-farmed and killed him twice with my extreme burst damage. It didn't help me for ****. Once he got his ultimate he ****ed me up. The spell-vamp he gets is bigger and nastier than Vladimir, Morgana and Fiddlesticks put together. Basically, as long as he has mana you're screwed. The worst part is that he doesn't even drain it like hell the way Anivia does with her Glacial Storm

One more thing, Rumble is NOT the king of solo-top. Garen is. This guy is so OP early game that he can take on alone two guys in the same lane. Why, oh why did u not put him in the countering section? I'm pretty curious to know how you'd handle a guy with crazy physical damage, tankier than you, and with a silence(the bane of all mages). Perhaps it's because you don't know how. I don't either, good thing I'm usually the Garen user, not the opponent. :-p

This guide is simply fantastic, I had seen someone playing rumble in a game and decided to play him so I looked around and found this. The game lead to me soloing Riven and Trynd, mauling them, farming a ton and ending as 10-3-0. When my team surrendered. Not everyone can be as pro as a Rumble player with this guide I guess. But either way, it was an amazing game. Thanks for the guide!
