Not Updated For Current Season

Welcome to my first Guide.
Since this week, Nocturne, is for free, and I had never tried him before, I had the biggest surprise since started playing LoL. Nocturne has many different uses, and if used correctly he can be game changer.
Now less talk more explanation on how this build works.

(Note: If you don't want to read the whole guide it's just fine, but i recommend readin it cause I give some explanation on my choices. Don't vote without trying it, or at least giving it a look)
Let´s start of with Marks.
Why Greater Mark of Desolation? It's obvious, because it will boost Nocturne's auto attacks early game, and will be of a little help mid-late game.
For seals, you can either choose Greater Seal of Replenishment, or . Actually I don't find that the dodge those runes give are very useful, unless you are going to jungle. I prefer taking mana regen or armor, for more lane survivability.
Glyphs.. not many useful glyphs, but for Nocturne there are at least two I find very useful. I present to you: and . Magic resist is obvious, just for the same reason I choose armor as seals. Lane survivability. But why CDR? Nocturne doesn't really need them, but well, it will help you sometimes. Just imagine your enemy is running from you and the only skill able to reach him is , but on Cooldown.. ****. Now if you had it only one second earlier. Well I think you get it.
Quintessences: Greater Quintessence of, the father of all quintessences. You really need 3 of those if you want a great boost at early game. Enough said. Greater Quintessence of Desolation, just as obvious as Greater Mark of Desolation
In my opinion, Greater Mark of Desolation, Greater Seal of Replenishment, and should work fine.
I usually take 21-0-9 as you can see at the masteries build. Why? Cause it gives a boost to your damage early game and those 9 at Utility for Ghost, experience boost, some regen help, and of course buff duration, since Nocturne can kill those guys easily enough at low level.
You can also opt for 21-9-0, if you think you really need that little boost to your defense, but if you got those Armor seals, then you won't really need those 9 at defensive.
It's really up to you.
It doesn't need that much of explanation. Usually, after buying
, I rush for
, but if you are finding very difficult to survive to that laning phase, just rush
. It will give you a boost to your damage, HP and that passive is also great. It could net you a kill by slowing someone. Then its up to you. Still needing more Health? Just buy
. Doing just fine? Go for those
Now just rush the . The fun is about to begin. Coordinate some ganks with your teammates, at teamfights, try not to get focused, and focus their squishies, and dont be afraid to chase. Remeber that you have . If the game is going fine, you should be able to buy Stark's Fevour or at least start building it. If you are the second case here, buy , and then . Finnish that Stark's and then start building your as it will give a great boost to your attack speed. Now its up to you. Do you need more suvivability? Go for . Doing great, helping the team a lot and getting a huge number of kills? Just go for . By this time the game should be ending, so just buy some Elixirs if you need to and OWN THEM!
Your options here aren't those much. And the best sequence for real, is this one. You will get much more kills going with these one than any other one. It's just that simple.
Summoner Spells are very redundant. It depends on your team, if it is premade or solo, on your teammates spells, champions, etc, etc..
So, I won't say that those are the best, but I really enjoy them, cause they will be great for chasing, and either for escaping. You can also take instead of , but in my opinion is one hell of a spell for Nocturne.
Just my opinion here, you can try whatever you want. It's really up to you.
One of the best farmers actually. You can kill a wave of minions in seconds.
As you get more and more experience playing LoL, you will find out that farming minions is a great help. Just look at this: after first blood, a kill is worth 300, then that ammount will go down if you keep that killing streak going. Killing a minion nets you 20 gold (average ammount). So, doing some easy math calculations, 15 minions should give you approximately 300 gold=champion kill. Do you see the potential of last hitting minions? This is no news for experienced players, but if you starting at LoL by now, you should really practice this.
With Nocturne you can get like 200 minion kill per game (average ammount), which is about 4000 gold added to your pocket at the end of a game.
