Let's Get in the Fight!

This Guide will help you climb the ranks and you will have all those Bronzies looking up at your Yordle in no time!

Rumble is by far my most played champ since i have started playing League of Legends. Over the course of Season 3 (Bronze 1) and Season 4 (Gold 3) i have a combined 481 games played with Rumble in Ranked ALONE!(This is excluding the amount of normal games I have played with Rumble ) This insures any doubt you may have on my knowledge of the the rust bucket for i have tried it all!

Rumble has a Generic build that is common knowledge to most experienced Rumble players but i am sure throughout this guide there will be somethings that you have not considered/will help you increase those wins in ranked or even in normals.

Feel free to give any feedback for i am an easy lad to talk to and am open to any suggestions/critizism you may have on the Guide.

I am KG (Konoyaro Gaming) Temper.... And welcome to my Season 5 Rumble GUIDE!

Pros/Cons

P(o)ros

+ Never runs out of Heat!
+ Is Tanky and Bursty!
+ Great Teamfighter and Laner!
+ Items complement Rumble very well!
+ SPAM FOR DAYS! The more you use abilities the stronger you get!
+ Strong Early,Middle and Lategame
Rumble is strong pick in solo queue and in pre made games. He is relatively good to banks as he has a slow and a movement speed buff ( Electro-Harpoon and Scrap Shield allows for a quick escape if the jungler vetoers towards your lane. Rumble not only brings a great team fight but is the ultimate bully in the top lane, he is the titan of top lane after all... He brings an AoE slow + high damage per second with The Equalizer along with all his abilities are perfect for Sustain, Poke, and burst which is just what a top lamer needs, and on top of that.. HE DOESNT USE MANA!

Cons

+ It will take some practice to learn how to CS with Rumble. (you will get there eventually)
+ No champion relates to Rumble so it is hard to adapt to his play style.
+ Like all champions Rumble has some counters.
+ His Legendary Skin although it is badass... is very annoying and talkative.. meh
Rumble As for all champs has his strengths and weaknesses. His early game CS is going to be a struggle to master and if you do not farm efficiently the enemy will snowball right over you. And like all champs he has his fair share of hard opponents where theres just no good way of facing them. And the most disappointing part of Rumble is that I'm not quite convinced if he has any friends Q.Q maybe Amumu can help him out with that.

Ruby Crystal Start: Explanation

The Item Order is a KEY component to this style of Rumble Build.

Starting Ruby Crystal is MAJOR key component to this build here is why..

- Rumble has enough sustain in lane with his Scrap Shield that he does not need the Health Regeneration that Dorans Shield provides. Plus statistically Dorans Shield gives you only 80 Health, as supposed to Ruby Crystal will give you 150 HP PLUS and extra Health Potion which makes up for any healthregen or sustain that Ruby Crystal may lack.

- Starting Ruby Crystal also gives you a jump on your build because it reduces the time spent and gold spent on getting your Haunting Guise that is VERY crucial for Rumble in the early game. (you will dominate with this item)

Item Explanation

Haunting Guise is a great item to rush for Rumble but remember not to upgrade it fully to Liandry's Torment quite yet because the movement speed with Sorcerer's Shoes and Rylai's Crystal Scepter are a must before having to worry about that extra burn damage. Also remember that starting Ruby Crystal allows you to buy this item a lot earlier then if you were to start with [[Doran's Shield}

The Rylai's Crystal Scepter is the perfect item for Rumble. As a top laner being tanky is a necessity and the Giant's Belt helps with this. But the most useful part of Rylai's Crystal Scepter is that the item stacks on your Electro-Harpoon slow by 35%. Also for your Flamespitter and The Equalizer it has a 15% slow over the whole time they are in range of the flames. With all these stacked slows this basically insures you to catch up to just about any champion with your Scrap Shield movement speed along with the insane slows. This is a MUST buy.
There is 3 major reasons to buy Zhonya's Hourglass
- It gives you armor which is always useful for a champion that is going to go BALLS deep.
- The 120 AP is useful for any skill you are bound to use for Rumble (even his overheat basic attack)
- You are able to have your Flamespitter active while Zhonya's Hourglass is activated. For a invisible flaming piece of gold. Just be sure to press 'Q' before you activate Zhonya's Hourglass .

Situational

Ninja Tabi: If you are losing the poke game by a high AD top laner... go for it.

Mercury's Treads: Is not a bad call considering you are chasing and being CC a lot of times, Especially against AP top lanes such as Lissandra.

Abyssal Mask: If they have lots of AP on their team and you think you need more Magic Resist then swap this for Void Staff.

Randuin's Omen/ Sunfire Aegis: Need more armor? Pick your poison.. or fire?

Hextech Gunblade: Although this is somewhat of a troll item... IT ACTUALLY WORKS! overall great item for Rumble. It gives you a decent amount of AP but also some AD to increase your basic attack. My favorite thing about this item is with all the chasing you do with Rumble the Bilgewater Cutlass allows you to do that even better then you could before. (overall great item)

Tips/Tricks:

: Flamespitter
Starting Flamespitter allows you to overheat at Level 1, which gives you the opportunity to give your Jungler a quicker and more efficient leash along with harder early game poke (it will surprise you how much damage this does) just be sure not to push your wave with it. It also has a base 6 seconds cooldown where as Electro-Harpoon has a 10 second cooldown.

: Electro-Harpoon
With Rylai's Crystal Scepter the Electro-Harpoon has a RIDICULOUS slow (Maximum 70% slow) this allows you to Chase or Kite your enemies with ease. Also remember to slow your enemy on top of your The Equalizer to keep them on top of your Ultimate. It is also a safe way to farm during the early game laning phase due to the 850 range it has to offer.
People also tend to forget that if both Electro-Harpoon tasers hit the same target, the slow duration is refreshed and its movement speed reduction is doubled. (very important)

: Scrap Shield
This ability is very underrated. Think of it as the summoner spell Barrier but.. you have it ever 6 seconds??? Along with that it gives you movement speed to chase or flee depending on the situation. Remember your movement speed and shield are enhanced by 50% if it is the Danger Zone.

: Equalizer
The Rumble The Equalizer is an art. It is something that takes some and patience to master for there is an infinite amount of ways to use it. However, when team fighting its all about location, location, location. With Rumble tighter spaces are always a preferred method for you can use the environment to your advantage and get them stuck in Key spots on the map.

Here is an example of good The Equalizer Locations:
