Ezreal is a hero that relies on shots as well as timing. He is hard to be mastered but brings chaos and destruction in the hands of a true gamer. His skills requires practice if to be mastered and can be zero if used incorrectly.

Ezreal is a hybrid hero. You can choose to play AD or AP, and even more powerful when mastering both.

Core Items

Berserker's Greaves

Gives you enhance movement speed and attack speed.

Guinsoo's Rageblade

The best thing about Guinsoo's Rageblade is the bonus attack speed and ability power on attacking or spell casting. This will make Ezreal a walking machine gun on the 8th stack.

Nashor's Tooth

Problems on Attack Speed and Ability Power? Nashor's Tooth solves it all! Furthermore it gives bonus Mana Regen and Cooldown Reduction.

Hextech Gunblade

What is better than guns?A gunblade!Providing devastating bonus damage and ability power, thus, giving bonus lifesteal and spell vampire. Is that all? No! This gunblade have a unique active effect dealing magic damage and slows the targeted enemy by 50%!

Trinity Force

The only item in the game that solves the all-basic needs. Giving bonus AD, AP, attack speed, critical chance, movement speed, HP and MP. Plus, a useful passive which gives a 25% chance to slow the enemy for 2.5 seconds and on cast, your next attack deals bonus damage equal to 150% of your base damage.

Guardian Angel

Providing a great amount of bonus armor and magic resistance making Ezreal not an easy target. What makes it the perfect item for Ezreal is because it revives the hero upon its death with 750 health and 350 mana. This helps a lot in tower-diving in late games which allows Ezreal to continue his chase after his first death.

Optional Items

The Bloodthirster

Usually used when needing a lot of damage. Gives 100 damage when maxed and 25% lifesteal upon kills. Unfortunately the stacks lose upon death. I would prefer Hextech Gunblade over BT since gives a perma-lifesteal and balance AD and AP.

Madred's Bloodrazor

The best item to inflict damage.Giving bonus AD and attack speed. Provides armor too which makes you invincible. Plus, deal magic damage equal to 4% of the target health. Works well with mystic shot as it stacks. Choose this instead of Guardian Angel for the perfect machine gun.

Morello's Evil Tome

The perfect item if your going more to AP. Provides a great amount of Ability Power and Mana Regen. Furthermore, reducing cooldowns of abilties. This item replace Nashor's Tooth if your going more to AP.

Rod of Ages

The perfect item if your going hybrid AP. Giving HP, MP and AP. Good to use if you want more mobility and survivability.

Quicksilver Sash

Getting nuke so often? Get this item! Most people think it is a stupid item. But some think it as a very good item for Ez. It depends on your situation actually. For me, this is a last resort item. Only use this if you get nuke so often and need more survivability. This item gives a huge bonus on magic resistance plus giving a very useful active. It works like the spell Cleanse removing all debuffs on your hero including slow, stun and fear.

The Fact of the Skills (Skills Sequence)

The fact of the skills are actually weird for some people as it relies more on Essence Flux and Arcane Shift more than Mystic Shot. Here is my solution.

I maxed out Essence Flux and Arcane Shift first because I am trying to aim a quick first blood. Essence Flux can deals a lot of damage and the so is the underestimated Arcane Shift. I leveled up 2 levels on Mystic Shot in the first 5 levels so that I can kill creeps with it and harass my enemy.

Mystic Shot is used as a skill to farm and harassing the enemy. I suggest only level it up to 2 in the first 5 levels. It deals a lot of damage and proves useful in the early game only if you build AD style. Mystic Shot stacks with most damage-dealing items such as Bloodthirster and Madred's Bloodrazor.

Essence Flux on the other hand is a pain to the enemy. Dealing 280 damage with only a 9-second cooldown proves that it can deals devastating damages to the enemies in a row. If you used it 6 times and hit every time you fire, it will deal 1680 damage. Thats already enough to kill a Malphite in the early game.

Arcane Shift need to be mastered at level 2 because it is used to escape early ganks on you and to pop in when chasing. Arcane Shift actually does a lot of damage to the enemy and is a very pain skill if used correctly. It will help you in escaping, ganking and initiating.

Here is the skill sequence again:

Ganking

In most ganks, Ezreal will always stay at the back during engaging and will stay in the front in the aftermath.

WHY STAY IN THE BACK WHEN ENGAGING?

- Ezreal needs to launch his ulti perfectly without a waste. This can only be done when the enemy is in a neat column and will usually happen during the epic fight. At the back, Ezreal will start spamming his skills and will moving to the front line to kill.

WHY STAY IN THE FRONT IN THE AFTERMATH?

- After Ezreal has unleash his ulti, he starts chasing the enemy and spam his skills continuously. He will than kill the enemy as much as he can. If he did not, it is a fail gank.

Remember that you must be sneaky and play around with the bushes to attempt a perfect gank. Using arcane shift and Flash to chase enemies will make them to zero in no time. Just remember NOT TO TOWER DIVE when there are no creeps.

Laning through the Game

Ezreal will usually head for the mid lane to farm more easily and to help other lanes to push faster. Ezreal will get his Sheen and Berserker's Greaves faster, just before the 5th minute mark.

EARLY GAME:
Getting a Sapphire Crystal, HP Pot and MP Pot and head to mid. Harass using the Mystic Shot and level up your Essence Flux as fast as possible. Farm using your Mystic Shot on creeps. Before the 5th minute mark get a Sheen for extra mana and a Berserker's Greaves for enhance attack and movement speed. To kill in the early game, pop in using your Arcane Shift and then do the Mystic Shot->Essence Flux->Trueshot Barrage->Essence Flux->Mystic Shot combo. This will make a quick death for your enemy and will inflict a lot of damage. You also should push until the first tower is destroyed. Just beware that other enemies will try to come from the back to engage you and prevent you from pushing and pressuring them.

Items you should have by now:
-=-

MID GAME:
Once the tower destroyed, change to the top or bottom lane, depending on their need of help. Help them push and destroy the outer turret as quick as possible. Your item should be enhanced by now. A Guinsoo's Rageblade, Nashor's Tooth and a Hextech Revovler should be in your item set now. These items will give you more mana, an enhanced attack speed and a great amount of ability power. You can also buy an Elixir of Fortitude, which I usually do to replace Doran's Blade for extra damage and HP. To kill in the mid game, use Mystic Shot->Arcane Shift->Essence Flux->Trueshot Barrage->Mystic Shot combo. This will deal devastating damage and will force your enemies to back. This combo will deal around 1600 dmg to a single enemy

When engaging a gank, aim the one with low health. Position yourself correctly, launch your ulti and spam your Mystic Shot like you never do. Do the combo and you will get yourself a kill or probably two. Remember the ganking method, "Stay in the back when Engaging and Stay in the front in the Aftermath". They will try to kill you first and finish your other members quickly. Just remember to save an amount of mana to escape using your Arcane Shift. Mind the cooldowns and your mana when chasing.

Items you should have by now:
-=--=--=--=--=-

END GAME:
In the end game you should have owned your enemy with your brand new Hextech Gunblade, extra lifesteals, AP and AD and your Trinity Force, your all-basic needs giving you AP, AD, bonus MS, attack speed, critical chance, HP and MP. For survivability you have a Guardian Angel providing armor and magic resistance, plus revival. You should just keep pushing and your team should win easily. But still remember to care when engaging as you are their main target. You are now a walking machine gun that will destroy anything in its way.

Your final item build:

Last Words

This is a hybrid build and yes, this is how I play him. The truth is, Ezreal is quite hard to be mastered. But once your good with him, found the right build, correct items, good runes and perfect masteries, you can own anybody with him. You just need patience to train him.

This is just a build on how I play him, Hybrid AP/AD style. If you think your not worth it for this build, go try other builds. But people actually needs to know the truth of Ezreal, not standing in dark, gloomy lies of him. You might have heard that Ezreal sucks in AP and can bring failure when played hybrid. But that is wrong!

Here I just want to say that Ezreal works the best on HYBRID!!

Hope you guys enjoy reading my guide and I hope it will bring a change to Ezreal users who think that hybrid and AP Ezreal sucks.
