Get in get out, that's the job. Opportunity is key, finding that opening to get charm off, poking them down ulting away ulting back in. You just have to be able to know how to use your ult to your advantage, and knowing your limitations. You're not going to be able to trade with most adc's straight up brawl style, but Ahri doesn't fight fair. Consider you charm as throwing dirt in their eyes, and your ult as a speed hack. Use those to your advantage, and be aware of your ult and charm cd, and you will be able to trade with the best even with your limitations

Ahri is a champion that's seems to be locked in mid with a straight forward AP carry build. I found out with a little skill you can outwit, and just destroy the bot lane with good positioning. Oh yeah, ahri is the queen of positions ;) Not to mention when you take this pick, and everyone yells, and screams it's satisfying to see them be in awe over what she's actually capable of doing. Can you out damage a standard adc? Well depends, how fed you are. But, what you can do is keep them from damaging you, and dance around them. Your job is simple, in duels charm poke them, gauge the situation go in or get out. You have those options with ahri, and when not limited to straight burst you can continue sustained damage while doing so. In teamfights, or engages you can quickly get in a fight throw a charm back up throw down some aa's and even your q w. Yeah, they still do some damage, and q gives that sweet sweet mobility. Ult in charm poke ult out, wait for clean up. Or hell, just finish the job yourself. It does take a bit of skill doing this, because it depends on charm. If you miss the charm then you missed your chance. but, still you can ult out if things get hairy unless that pesky malphite or naut ults you. But, that's going to pose a problem on ap ahri aswell. The whole point of this is to have sustainable damage partnered with your charm while you poke them to death. If you're not good at getting charms off, or knowing good position, and good escape routes in certain situations, this is going to suck so don't waste your time.

At the time I created this guide was right after 6.4 so mobafire hasn't updated, so expose weakness isn't on the list. But, that's what i've been putting into on the ferocity side after 6.4

This is your first completion, you want it as quick as possible to be able to get ahri up to par with other adc's.
This is the item I generally always choose, but it's up to you. But, I think the extra attack speed you get works well with your next item
