Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Introducing the Ursa Warrior
The inspiration from this build is taken from the Ursa warrior Ulsfaar in dota2, Volibears counterpart. Ulsfaar excels extremely well in the carry role.
Let me start off by telling you this is a strong mans guide, Do not attempt this guide if you cannot completely last hit while taking minimal damage. This build is designed for seasoned Volibear players who want a warrior feel.Do not attempt this guide if you do not play volibear as often as others, Do not attempt this guide if you do not know how to trade with Volibear.
Things you will learn
*Learn to One v One (Volibear is an exceptional if not one of the best One vs One champions in the entire game.)
*Volibear can negate a majority of early damage with his passive, we will learn how to utilize it.
*Volibear is capable of absurd damage from lvls 4-14
*How to kite properly and deal as much damage without taking it.
Use attack speed Quints, standard Ad reds and Flat armor yellows, complemented with Scaling mr Blues. The scaling mr runes will help you deal with your lack of mr until mid/late game.
This should always be your start unless you are facing rumble or vlad.
On your first recall you must obtain these items less you wish to behind, Make sure you are always picking up at least one ward, prioritize some gold for at least two,
These two items will make you a force to be wreckend with at early phases of the game, not only can you farm your lane and golems with great ease it will provide powerful One Vs One abilities due to your Frenzy and attack speed runes.
This is the core build you are going for, Replace sunfire cape with spirit visage if you are fighting an ap caster.
Note: Once you have these core items initiate upon your enemy at all times, wear him down with your first combo and wait for cooldowns, punish him again with your ultimate and BotRk active and its a free kill.
Spirit visage is interchangeable with sunfire cape, depending on your lane match up.
Banshees and warmogs are luxury items and should be built in the order of situation.
You must know your skill sequence.
You should only initiate with frenzy built at Three stacks this way your guaranteed a bite after unleashing Q E.
Only activate your ultimate if its going to be an extended fight and your opponent is not trying to flee.
Remember your attacks are chained with your R. Meaning if the enemy is just our of range and getting away attack the creepwave, i have gotten countless kills i thought were going to escape this way.
Pros / Cons
*High burst and dps
*Potent damage and sturdy
*Powerful initiation and assassination
*Powerful early game
*The build itself is very gold dependent and should only be attempted if you can farm well
*Volibear has a tough time dealing with champions who have a heavy slow or blink
*Ignite is a deadly tool against volibear and you should be cautiously aware when they have it up
*Weaker late game than some bruisers
* Vulnerable to range attacks.
This guide isn't intended for ranked play, it is a pub stompers guide to success.
This is my first guide and I will admit I was rather lazy with it.
